Anisimov and Dubinsky

Have a feeling Sather is going to listen to offers for Anisimov and Dubinsky in an attempt to grab a top 6 LW and a depth guy

I would look at the Ranger lineup like this. At this point the X's are AA and Dubi

X, Richards, Gaborik
Kreider, Stepan, Callahan
Hagelin, Boyle, X
Rupp, X,( faceoff winning UFA C) X( hopefully resign Prust)

I like Clowe from SJ. What other teams are looking to shake things up?

how does Jake Gardiner interest u guys? maybe we can add in Lombardi to even out cap-wise and he also gives u guys some speed up front.

Rangers strength is with young D plus they are going to likely be in the Schultz sweeps. Given they already have McDonaugh , Girarid, Staal, Del Zotto, Erixon, McIlrtah if anything they may eventually trade a young D man

they need offense like so many other teams. Ideally a LW

I like Dubi and AA , they are original Rangers but for the right forward I would think about moving one or both

I don't think it would make sense, but getting Gardiner would help to get them Schultz. I wouldn't do it as the Leafs though.

so its a no-deal? Lombardi's contract expires this year.

He's not the issue. We just need to address our forward scoring depth. Our defensive depth is more than fine, so while Gardiner is a fine player, we don't really need him.

The Amity Affliction 06-10-2012 01:38 PM

No need for Gardiner, and I don't think he's the difference in the Rangers getting Schultz or not.

Leafs aren't likely to deal Kessel, and he's the only guy that interests me on the Leafs.

Kershaw 06-10-2012 01:42 PM

If it was Anisimov and Dubinsky for Gardiner the LHD depth would be:

McDonagh
Staal
Del Zotto
Erixon

:help: Depth is good, but you've got to play defenders.

quentez 06-10-2012 01:57 PM

Cogliano from Ducks? Would it take something extra from Ducks to switch Cogs and Anisimov?

gallagt01 06-10-2012 02:00 PM

I'd think Buffalo would be interested in a package like that for Vanek.

Cogs Beleskey and Etem for Anisimov and Bourque

What you did there. I see it.

Etem is going nowhere, and Bourque is of no interest.

I'd do Anisimov and Dubinsky for Clowe, a cap dump, and like a 3rd or something. I'm a big fan of Anisimov.

No real incentive for the Rangers to do that though.

Gabotrick 06-10-2012 04:18 PM

Stafford and a pick?

Me too.
That's why I'd rather trade Stepan and get more for him. Keep AA, the physically more gifted.

I think Rangers would have interest in Stafford but it would have to be more than a pick with him. Need a descent 3rd liner as well

Also Vanek for Dubi and AA. I do it on the Rangers side of things

Stepan has more value than Arty. Again I don't want to just dump Arty or Dubi I want value back.

If it can be a guy like Clowe with a pick and a 3rd liner then maybe. I threw Handzus out there. Would be expensive but add depth at C

Issue I have with the current Ranger lineup is Arty is not really a RW and he's not a #1 or maybe even 2 LW/C. He's the type of guy who can be bumped up and help like he did with the Stepan, Gabby line this yr.

Also whether NYR fans like it or not Boyle is the 3rd line C

Clowe type of guy, Richards, Gaborik
Kreider, Stepan, Callahan..........my ideal top 6

Hagelin , Boyle, X.....another player in a proposed deal
Rupp, FA faceoff C, hopefully Prust back

Again you dont move Dubi or AA unless you get a top 6 winger and a descent 3rd line RW in my opinion

Yeah. As a Buffalo fan, I'd do Anisimov/Dubinsky/1st for Vanek.

Kind of Surprised some Sabre fans are willing to move Vanek. he is still a top LW in my books

if they need to shake things up I would be intersted in Vanek, Roy, Stafford in some sort of deals . Seperately of course.

Vanek has his flaws just like Gaborik, but I'd do this in a heartbeat. I catch a lot of Buff games since I go to college near there and think he'd do extremely well with Stepan.

I'd be very happy if our lines were:
Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Vanek-Stepan-Kreider
FA vet-Anisimov-Callahan
Rupp-Boyle-Prust

Konopka as extra forward.

That gives us two excellent scoring lines, a very defensively responsible third line capable of 55+ goals (even if you assume the vet is only good for ten) and a great checking fourth line.

Not sure why Anisimov is your third-line pivot - he'd be in Buffalo.
