Pond hockey?
A friend of mine recruited me to play on a team for the Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament in Wisconson. I've been playing beer league for a few years now, but have never played pond hockey. I've seen the videos, and it looks like a lot of fun, but these tiny nets an no boards, I have the feeling, I'm gonn be sailing the puck out of play a lot.

Anyone have experience with this they'd like to share.
What is the ice like, can I expect the puck to skip round a lot?

What is the deal with carrying your skates on a plane, there is no way I want to put skates in checked luggage.

I believe skate blades are considered sharp and dangerous object, that's why they won't allow you to bring them in the cabin.

That tourny always seemed lame to me because of the lack of real nets and real boards - pretty much the lack of actual rinks, lol. Although, I know a couple of guys who went last year and they said they had a blast just being there, so, I'm sure it's fun in general, but the hockey part must be a little lame.
