Shootouts

How do you think the Rangers will be at the shootout next year? Feel free to add shootout orders

Screw You Rick Nash 06-11-2012 08:18 PM

I think we'd be good (better than this year)

Kreider
Richards
Gaborik

BlueShirts88 06-11-2012 08:20 PM

What was our shootout record this year. It wasn't good, right? I think we'll be better especially if we land a goal scorer via UFA or trade.

Fitzy 06-11-2012 08:22 PM

It was bad but that was mostly on Richards who has traditionally been very good. I think he was 0 for this last year.

SnowblindNYR 06-11-2012 09:00 PM

We were 4-5 I believe and Richards was 1 for 9, getting his first in the last shootout against Toronto.

Zats Muccarello 06-11-2012 09:00 PM

They'll be fine with the addition of Kreider. Hopefully Gaborik can be as tremendous as he was this season.

Pretty sure he scored on one late in the year... I can check and update this post.

EDIT: March 24 against Toronto. Richards and Cally in the shootout win.

Dactyl 06-11-2012 10:07 PM

hopefully better than this year although i am very happy with the team winning in OT more than relying on the shoot out this year

CM PUNK 06-11-2012 10:09 PM

hopefully richards remembers how to score in shootouts next year cause he was great his whole career until this year...that by itself would make a huge difference

WhipNash27 06-11-2012 10:19 PM

Hopefully they take out the shootout with the new CBA ;).

Tanner Glass 06-11-2012 10:22 PM

Is Kreider that good in shootouts?

Hellion 06-11-2012 10:25 PM

If Richards is in the SO line up, hopefully he can manage to pick the puck up and not leave it at center ice

People are just assuming he is. Probably the same people who will be disappointed if he doesn't score 40 goals.

Gabs rarely even shoots.

The Rangers rarely shoot. Even in the shootout, you can see that they are more eager to pass than to shoot.

broadwayblue 06-11-2012 11:20 PM

If we can get Wolski and Zuccs back we'll be fine.

Zuccarello Awesome* 06-11-2012 11:23 PM

Radulov
Kreider
Richards

:)

Zuccarello Awesome* 06-11-2012 11:24 PM

Or we can put Hagelin in the shoot out and have him just beat the goalie to the goal line and tap the puck in.

NewYorkRangers89* 06-11-2012 11:39 PM

Richards
Callahan
Gaborik

Callahan is actually pretty good on penatly shots so i think giving him a shot in the shootout would be a good idea. Richards is Richards and Gaborik is our goal scorer.

Silence Of The Plams 06-11-2012 11:43 PM

Hopefullly 0-0 because a shootout is a beauty contest.

What the hell are you talking about? He was 4 for 7 and the Rangers were in 9 shootouts.
