Michalek, Martin, Lovejoy

Make an offer for each by themselves or for two or three of them. Don't make an offer for Letang. He wont be traded.

Analyzer 06-13-2012 07:23 AM

Michalek - 2nd, or 3rd rounder.
Martin +your 2nd for a 3rd
Lovejoy - Probably a mid round pick.

Don't see michalek being traded either

Eyes of Orpik 06-13-2012 08:22 AM

Don't see any of them being traded, except for Lovejoy.

I don't see Michalek going anywhere.
Martin will hopefully bring a midround pick.
And Lovejoy will be lucky to bring back a 7th round pick.

The Lovejoy part was good though, tbh. LOL at people now honestly valueing Lovejoy higher than Martin, what is this world even?

Anderson55 06-13-2012 10:20 AM

Martin has more value than most will say here. I dont think RS will just give him away

Nova III 06-13-2012 10:26 AM

Islanders want Engelland, Lovejoy, Michalek, Niskanen, or Letang. What will it take?

Egh I feel we could get more for lovejoy. Idk what world people live on that they think they can get a top pairing defenseman and a 2nd for a 3rd rounder.

You can have Lovejoy for anything lol.

What are the Penguins needs?

What would it take to get a deal done for Michalek?

The only way you get Letang is with huge overpayment like tavares which wont happen. Is P.A. Pareanteau an RFA? if so we could trade lovejoy for his rights. Engelland we wont trade. Michalek a 2nd and a roster player? Niskanen if resigned a 1st rounder.

Human 06-13-2012 10:34 AM

Lovejoy will go for a bag of pucks.

I can't wait to see these boards' meltdown when people in here will see the return for Martin, if he gets traded...

Exactly. People act like he's Steve Gomez or something.

a 2nd and one of our many wingers that you can choose from. Or maybe Niskanen for Nino?

Shrimper 06-13-2012 10:52 AM

The under-valuing of Michalek and Martin is seriously worrying.

Michalek + Lovejoy for Moulson.

Letang you cant have. Same with Engelland, and Niskanen.

Having the spot free for Strait is a value in and of itself, so I'd do mid-round pick for Lovejoy any old day.

From now on, when someone makes an offer for Martin, I will just counter with, add a 2nd and you can even have Lovejoy for that. :sarcasm:

You worry about what a bunch of people - who can't get within 20 miles of having any say in how any professional hockey team is run, I might add - think of two players?

The undervaluing of Martin shouldn't come as a shock, but I'm surprised by the undervaluing of Michalek, especially considering how nice his deal is.

kasper11 06-13-2012 11:33 AM

Justin Dibinedetto + Isles 3rd for Martin?

It's not possible to under-value Martin. He's a mediocre-bad player on a terrible contract.
