Johan Sundstrom

The Swedish RH powerfoward centerman was a Isles second round pick in 2011. He just signed an ELC with the Isles but I believe will spend the next season in Sweden because he still has a contract with his SEL team, Frolunda. Has anyone seen him that can give me some info about him? He seems like a sure bet to make the NHL at some capacity, I know he is defensively responsible and can work in the dirty areas. I know he doesn't put up the numbers but I knew that he played on the fourth line last year and the SEL is a lower scoring league anyway. I think he's one of those guys that given top 6 minutes could be a 60 point guy in his prime, Backes-lite?

He is not really a power forward. He can use his size to protect the puck, and is good on the cycle, but that's about it. I doubt he ever breaks 50 points, but could become a solid third liner.

Thank you!
