It would be best for the NHL if Crosby was

picked by the

top corner27 12-28-2004 07:17 PM

any of the major market teams so he could gain maximum exposure. NY, Philly, LA, Det, etc......

MacDaddy TLC* 12-28-2004 07:19 PM

Toronto Maple Leafs or New York Rangers. They need their high profile guy in a major market not the backwoods.

tiredman 12-28-2004 07:28 PM

NYR or Chicago or LA

Jeff Goldblum 12-28-2004 07:30 PM

The answer is obviously Pittsburgh.

Damicles 12-28-2004 07:37 PM

As much as I hate to say it, yeah... The NHL needs to give Crosby to an American team to sell tickets ala Le Bron in Cleveland. But the thing is they have to build up the hype. Not only did Cleveland sell tix, but alot of home teams sold alot of tix 'cause Le Bron was in town. The thing is that Crosby has to be with a run and gun, open ice kinda team. No trapping. So... maybe NYR or the Pens?

Hockey Moose 12-28-2004 07:50 PM

He would look GREAT in a Kings jersey!

Frolov, Brown, Crosby...

oh lord

LuckyLUC20 12-28-2004 07:51 PM

Los Angeles :D

acr* 12-28-2004 07:52 PM

BOSTON!

Him playing with Bergeron some more would get lots of Canadian Junior fans on our side, and it'd add some drama because he's a Habs fan and all...

Missionhockey 12-28-2004 07:53 PM

New York, if Crosby brings the Rangers back to the playoffs the NHL will be at an all time high.

GoM 12-28-2004 07:53 PM

My team. Because.

x-bob 12-28-2004 07:54 PM

CHicago...it's just what they need to kick start the organisation again

Accord 12-28-2004 09:25 PM

Florida :D.

But in all seriousness, for the love of the game and to bring fans back, he needs to go to a big market American team like the Rangers

Epsilon 12-28-2004 09:28 PM

It doesn't mean a single thing one way or the other. The NHL isn't the NBA.

YellHockey* 12-28-2004 09:35 PM

picked by the Ottawa Senators so that the NHL can have its next dynasty.

Til the End of Time 12-28-2004 09:40 PM

I frankly don't care what is best for the NHL. The game was here long before Crosby and it will be here long after Crosby is gone; the league doesn't "need" him to go anywhere.

True but I believe needs a jumpstart. Having a superstar bloom in a big market might be the kick the league needs. It would also be something to build off of after he's gone.

Tuggy 12-28-2004 09:58 PM

I would love to see him in a Habs jersey but the game could use a lot more exposure in the States. So I will go with the Rangers.

Vic Rattlehead* 12-28-2004 10:18 PM

The Bruins. Crosby-Bergeron would be on the play's of the night, and would become the new dynamic duo of the NHL.

salty justice 12-28-2004 10:51 PM

All homerism aside, CHICAGO! The third biggest market in North America and they cant sell half an arena. An O6 team that has made it to the playoffs once in the last 7 years! Chicago has never had a first overall pick while almost every boring southern hockey dead bed has. Not to mention, Chicago hockey fans have undisputedly suffered more than any sports fan in history.

Magnus Fulgur 12-28-2004 11:07 PM

Ideally, Crosby would help the NHL the most with an American team so lets look:

Boston, Chicago: SC would be wasted with this inept ownership.
NYR: probably the prime time destination for him
PHI: not going to happen
CLB: Nash and Crosby? Ouch!!!
ATL: Kovalchuk and Crosby (and Heater?) fantabulous!!!
LA?: great, but I think SC should go East Coast to spark the league
PIT: who? aren't they going to be contracted.
CAR and NSH: stranger things have happened
NYI or BUF: might as well have him play with a Belarus junior team.

Zoo 12-28-2004 11:37 PM

Apart from him coming to the Burgh. I would like to see Crosby in Sens uniform. A one two punch of Crosby and Spezza with there young RW Hossa and Havlat could form the next dynasty as black red and gold said.

The Legend 12-28-2004 11:49 PM

Crosby should go to the Kings and then do you think they would change their jerseys back to the black and white?

True, though if we lose the lottery again I will happily settle for Brule. You all do know that the lottery goes through Pittsburgh once more, right?
