Any guesses on team make up and how the team will do this year. Lots of quality players in Alberta and BC

Off the top of my head a few that should all make it. Virtanen, Point, Mappen, Duke, Martin.

Is Barzal eligible to participate?

They won't take an underager too many quality 16 year olds who will all have a half a year in the WHL already

Yes but as Joe Hallenback already mentioned, there are plenty of older candidates that will have WHL experience already.
Plus, I don't think Pacific has ever had an underage player.

They have had a few in years past and IMHO Barzal has a shot at being named.

I don't see any after looking through past teams on EliteProspects, but they're missing players.
Then again, a player that is good enough to crack this team as an underager would probably be notable enough that they'd have the data for the tournament entered..

Interesting change this year that the team doesn't have to be an even split between Alberta and BC but just make the strongest team. I thinks Alberta has more strong 96s than BC.

Looks like 3 players from Alberta's Gold team (Tambasco,Jones,Nemeth) and 1 from BC's team (Merreck) didn't make the July camp. Looks like there's some good size heading to Kamloops.

Anyone out in Kamloops have any word on who did well and who may have dissapointed?

Too bad the scouts can't see skill beyond size. Tambasco and Jones should have been at the camp. Hockey Alberta is in bed with the WHL. Both Tambasco and Jones were undrafted players. Hockey Alberta has lost their integrity and legitimacy by handing over control to scouts who put their own interests above all.
I heard Wong did well.

Since they could only send 34 who from Alberta would you have not sent in order to send Tambasco and Jones to Kamloops?
