The Season That Was But Wasn't But Was: 2013 Schedule

Out tomorrow.

Some games via Heika..

@MikeHeika Schedule release is tomorrow. I'm hearing Stars open with home and home at PHX, vs. PHX. Nashville on NYE. Two vs. NYR, WSH, TBL.

Hoping they travel East for another NYC swing this year!

I just watched the highlights for that game... and I wondered where the magic in our PP went...

Stars99Lobo37 06-18-2012 02:26 PM

Glad we won't have to put up with seeing two of Jersey now. Feels like every year we get them twice.

Primetimey 06-18-2012 02:32 PM

Please come to Winnipeg again -- but win this time :handclap:

Mark says schedule will be out tomorrow morning. Not sure why NHL keeps pushing it back.

Phoenix.

Mr Misty 06-20-2012 11:44 AM

Yay another game for me in DC!

Frozen Failure 06-21-2012 10:07 AM

Schedule out.

http://stars.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm

We play a b2b to start the season.

Stars99Lobo37 06-21-2012 10:13 AM

Another back to back to start the season? That's 3 in a row is it not?

Ambassador Of Fun 06-21-2012 10:21 AM

Most of the back to backs seem pretty doable. And only 5 3 day breaks, one of which is over Christmas, one over New Years, and obviously the All-Star break.

Primetimey 06-21-2012 10:53 AM

No game in Winnipeg.. argggh.. NHL needs to fix their scheduling. Home and Away against every team.

Stars99Lobo37 06-21-2012 11:11 AM

Beats the hell out of what they had right out of the lockout at least, but agreed.

Hegemon21 06-21-2012 11:38 AM

How bout' that real tough roadie from Dec 4-15. They usually seem to break up the western Canadian swing and the California trips don't they?

DaStars99 06-21-2012 12:39 PM

not terrible, not great

MetalGodAOD 06-21-2012 01:23 PM

We're the home opener for NYR.. awesome! Also the NYI game is finally on a weekend for me to make it out to Uniondale.

MetalGodAOD 06-21-2012 02:14 PM

Oh hey look, we travel the most miles of any team this year:

Fun.

Fun.

In 2011-2 the team with the most miles traveled was...the LA Kings.

Plan the parade :sarcasm:

Well, I will say it's not THAT bad of a schedule distance-wise. We are kind of in the middle of country.

Do remember what team this is. We'll find a way to screw up every single one of them.

piqued 06-21-2012 02:57 PM

It's gonna suck until we get put in the right division, no surprise there.

Mr Misty 06-21-2012 03:03 PM

The distance for Dallas is almost the same as last season, only LA and ANA have shorter distances this season.

Cin 06-21-2012 03:55 PM

February looks like fun!

Modo 06-21-2012 07:46 PM

We have 17 one-game trips.

San Jose has 5.

Awesome.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong year, lol. Still, 12 of them. And over 10,000miles above average.

Just for fun, I switched our travel into km's. We travel a grand total of approximately 80,227km's next year. The league average is 64,039.

That's over 16,000km's above average!

Awesome.

I'm sure those are flights to Colorado then back to Dallas for a game then out to Nashville/St Louis/Detroit/Chicago... it's not awful but I think those West|East coast roadtrips are more painful on us than these one gamers.
