Top picture #83 is Ceci.

As long as we pick Erik Karlsson, a 5'11" Swede, that plays for Frolunda, sometime in this draft, I'll consider the draft a success.

That's all I have to say.

WantEggRoll 06-21-2012 09:25 AM

I hope they trade up and select Cody Ceci, but then again I say this without really ever having seen any of these kids play much. Basically I love how this organization has drafted of late, so after saying WTF to Zibanejad/Noesen last year, this year I'll just be happy with whoever they take.

Unless they take some completely random 156 pound defenseman who is obvisously a garbage pick.

It actually was there, but I used the wrong option when I tried to post it, and put a link to it under the caption, "Who will it be?"

HappyDude 06-21-2012 09:50 AM

I say we take Grigorenko

lafite 06-21-2012 09:54 AM

According to the mock drafts I've seen, Gregorenko might be available. It would be hard to pass on him if he is still around, even though the whole russian thing is a bit scary. They say he showed up at the combines wearing a Canada T-shirt trying to address the KHL concern.

Icelevel 06-21-2012 09:56 AM

Lindholm please

bdp 06-21-2012 10:03 AM

This feels like 2010 when we were debating whether we should take Kabanov at 16 if he was there.

aragorn 06-21-2012 10:06 AM

Check out these mock drafts, the first one has Wilson going 13th to the Dallas Stars & Ottawa picking Guance leaving Ceci still on the board. Just don't see that happening if even Ottawa makes a trade for a young defenceman. Murray stocked the cupboard with forwards last yr I assume he will fill the cupboard with defencemen this yr.

Does someone have a link to the Karlsson draft thread for good luck?

SensFan26 06-21-2012 10:12 AM

I hope we take one of Lindholm, Girgensons or Ceci. My guess is Lindholm

Honestly, I think Lindholm goes before 15. I think he's the quick riser. People have seen how Karlsson and OEL developed. Somebody is going to be hoping he's the same and pick him early, top 12.

I predict the order of Dmen picked is : Murray, Griffin, Reilly, Dumba, Lindholm, Trouba, Maata, Ceci

CanadianHockey 06-21-2012 10:23 AM

Linky to the Sens board mock draft (I've unstickied it, but figure some of you may be interested to read up on some of the prospects outside the well-known first round).

This draft is so odd, no one really knows who is going to go where. Really excited for tomorrow night

I agree. So those 8 D and the following order of Forward picked imo makes the top 15.

Yakupov, Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Teravainen, Grigorenko, Faksa, Girgensons.

I hope Ceci or Faksa falls to us.

Emerica 06-21-2012 11:29 AM

Imagine if Trouba fell to 15th.

HarveySpecter 06-21-2012 11:34 AM

I have a feeling Maata, Lindholm, and Ceci will be gone by 15
