Will Horcoff do the honorable thing and relinquish his #10 to Yakupov?
 

We'll be drafting the coming of a Superstar tomorrow nite, likely the next Great One! Should Nail be offered to wear his #10? He defenitely should, but will Horcoff show any class? No IMHO

I'm not a Horcoff fan but he shouldn't have to give up his number to a rookie.

What he did in that 2006 run alone assures him of having no.10 for as long as he's in Oiler silks.

Just give Nail Yakupov number 1 jersey.

I don't hate his contract could care less its not hurting the team , or am I paying it . I hate the way he plays flipping 20 min scrub.

he is playing the tough minutes untill the kids are ready for prime time--the kids are developing and over the years we have seen the oilers rush too many kids and it ruined them. Hall and Eberle should be ready to start carying this team this coming season and then Nuge in 13/14--we need to give the kids proper time to develop and tossing Horoff into the situation now and easing the kids in is a good move. People think the kids will come in a be world beaters--it takes time

Let's hope the NHL does the honorable thing and sanctions some new symbol that can be used like a number just for Nail. I'm leaning toward the Batman symbol.

Yeah this is one of the lows for the "treatment" of Horcoff on these boards. I'm still hopeful he's bought out (or fingers double crossed traded), but if he's hear in September he won't, and I won't expect him to give up his number. He's the ****ing team Captain.

Yeah well him playing the tough minutes has lead us out of the Playoffs and to the basement in the League and you can't justify how brutal he has been last 2 seasons tough minutes or not.
