I have my "wish list," a pen, a pad of paper, and a fridge full of beer. I'm as ready to go as ever for this. :yo:
your GDT's are wonderful. thanks
a little early :sarcasm:, Woodhouse your work is top notch, thanks again.
According to my mock here http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1212709 , I have the Sabres selecting with the #12 pick the :sabres select from London of the Ontario Hockey League, Defenseman Olli Maatta Why? Olli Maatta is a huge Teppo Numminen fan and thinks hes the greatest Finnish Defenseman ever. He was brought in as one of the few private workout attendees at FNC. The Sabres have had Finish Fever recently signing Ville Leino and drafting Joel Armia. He is near NHL ready and could be a potential top 2 defenseman in the future. He shoots left and a future of Myers, Ehrhoff, and Pysyk down the rightside and McNabb, Maatta on the left sounds like a solid defense corps. Comparison to Ryan Suter with the #21 pick the :sabres select from Stanstead College, Center Mark Jankowski Why? This pick is off the board but the Sabres attempt for the home run pick. Boom or bust. Jankowski is years off but could be that number 1 center with size in time. He grew up a Sabres fan and Max Afinogenov fan and the Sabres scouted him on numerous occasions this season. If he is given time, hopefully he becomes a star. Jankowski, Hodgson, Ennis would be a solid foundation of centers. Comparison to Jason Spezza |
A Woodhouse GDT in June? Feels good man.
Girgensons or please let Faksa or Tervainen drop to us. Wouldn't mind Ceci either.
This is just delightful. Thanks Woodhouse!
This is going to be the longest 9-6 shift EVAR!111!!
The House back in the house. Nice.
Man I missed these GDTs. Here's to an exciting draft night.
you're the man, woody.
I don't follow the individual players much, but it's still an exciting time. I'll be locked in tomorrow. Here's to the future, folks. |
FYI there will be a draft preview airing on NHLN beginning at 5:00PM, and I'm assuming Baker, TBN, WGR and other outlets will have local coverage of the draft throughout the day. Entry to the Draft Party at FNC also begins at 5:00PM, while the Sabres Store opens an hour earlier at 4:00PM, allowing for fans to take advantage of their 42% off discount on merchandise.
pretty excited, I missed last years draft due to stupidity....
All I have to do tomorrow is grab my check, maybe frolf 18 holes, and sit back and watch.
Excellent work as always Woodhouse. |
I have to decide if it's worth getting up at 7 AM on a Saturday for this. Saturday after Dragon Boat Festival no less.
I'm working from 11-6. Running home and sitting in front of my television. Unfortunately I can't track any day-time activity throughout the league.
I cannot wait for this draft. I don't think Buffalo picks at 12. |
So Faska is on everyone's wish list at 12?
Who is better between Girgensons and Gaunce? |

Neither. I think Regier moves 12 in a package for a player that nobody is talking about. |

Faksa then Gaunce or Wilson is fine by me...
Tomorrow is going to be a boring night...so I'll probably watch this. Go Buffalo!

Here's a typo edit for ya, Woody: 06/20: Darren Dreger on The Howard Simon Show. <7:53>
