Great pick. Mid first-round talent in the second.

Ford Prefect 06-23-2012 09:11 AM

In my own mock, I had him at 19. Really happy to see him aboard, the guy I probably wanted most

strutsboa 06-23-2012 09:12 AM

YES!!!!!! :handclap:

Welcome Collberg!

It will be really fun to follow him in SEL this year!

x74Pacioretty74x 06-23-2012 09:12 AM

Holy **** what a steal!

FlyingRat 06-23-2012 09:14 AM

What's the scouting report on that guy?

All I see is 0 points in 41 games as a forward, lol.

hogtownhabsfan* 06-23-2012 09:14 AM

I wanted to trade and get him and had him in my top 15. Love this pick.

Collberg is sick. Amzing shot, brilliant skater, and super aggressive and skilled. He's going to be a top 6 player, no doubt in my mind.

I wanted to move back into the first to get him so happy we grabbed him in the 2nd

How swede it is!

Goldthorpe 06-23-2012 09:15 AM

A lot of people were saying last night we should pick him with our 33th. So I guess that's a good move.

He was playing in the SEL. at the WJC, he outplayed Forsberg. and the U18s, he was a threat everytime he hit the ice. He's a sniping RW with sick hands and quickness who will also knock someone on there ass.

He played 4th line minutes in a mens league

zaluty 06-23-2012 09:15 AM

Galchenyuk and Collberg. Two skilled players this draft is going great already now hopefully Winther or Blujus at 51

NotProkofievian 06-23-2012 09:17 AM

Everytime I've watched him, he's always buzzing, and he can be a dangerous player. I'm so pumped to get him.

hogtownhabsfan* 06-23-2012 09:19 AM

I'd probably rank Collberg as our #3 prospect behind Galchenyuk and Tinordi.

Vasculio 06-23-2012 09:21 AM

Hahaha well, I'm just happy not having Hockey 360 anymore, not gonna listen to Gaston and Flynn about the Habs not picking Bussieres instead of Collberg...

While Collberg’s potential was never in doubt, his ability to have such a positive impact on this tournament was surprising to most. The speedy sniper notched 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 6 games. Add in two super-slick shootout goals to round out his impressive performance. Although he will be likely be drafted behind countryman Filip Forsberg come June, he definitely outplayed Forsberg on this stage.

Draft Stock: Elevated

Projected Round Drafted: First round (first half)
:yo:

Et le But 06-23-2012 09:25 AM

What a great second round pick. Already our best winger prospect IMO.

LyricalLyricist 06-23-2012 09:27 AM

Can someone tell me what he's about?

ourobouros 06-23-2012 09:28 AM

Nice article on him by Mathias Brunet in La presse (in french ) :

http://www.lapresse.ca/sports/hockey...-tres-doue.php

Slick skater, with a great shot and excellent hands.

Always seems involved.

Interesting note, #Habs had a jersey with COLLBERG on the back ready to go. I'd venture to guess they're quite pleased he was available
