Its summer time and im assuming most people got there sticks about a year ago this time. Probably just breaking because of the time.

The book "Fooled By Randomness" has the explanation.

I've broken 3 in the past month. All were purchased back in January.

Because the sticks keep getting lighter. Lighter sticks are lighter due to less materials thus making them more fragile. I'll never ever buy a top end stick. If you notice, they are the ones that are always breaking. Case in point, Easton RS vs. Easton S7. I know guys using the same S7 3x a week for years and these are big, strong guys that take their share of slap shots.

Try getting 2 years out of an RS. Lucky to get 2 months.

A few months ago I broke two sticks within a few games of each other. With one, the blade snapped when it got stuck in a crack in the boards and the second it just split in two when I blocked a shot (stick on stick, not puck on stick). They were both nice sticks too, it was depressing :(. Otherwise, no.
