We'll see if its true or not but I have ZERO problem running QB as our tandem for next year. If he is traded, it better be for someone that knows how to score.

Shellz 06-28-2012 03:48 PM

I'm sure Dean is going to try. I just hope he does it for the team, not because Bernier wants to leave. Who knows if this is even true...but it wouldn't be surprising.

KingKopitar11* 06-28-2012 03:49 PM

Trade bernier for a 20 goal scorer. If we do that we are set balls deep.

Sydor25 06-28-2012 03:49 PM

Well, Bernier already has Stanley Cup, might as well try and become a #1 goalie somewhere else. Dean will have no issues trading Bernier and I wish him the best. :)

I'm not even worried about the return. Wonder who Dean will sign to sit on the bench for 70+ games. ;)

Bernier's value is at most a 2nd round pick right now. The Kings didn't play him in enough games the last 2 seasons for other GMs to get a read. He's still just a "potential" goalie right now.

Dave33 06-28-2012 03:50 PM

Next year's draft is supposed to be pretty good, right? I'm cool with picks rather than immediate help.

Shellz 06-28-2012 03:52 PM

I just hope its in the East.

Yes it is and yeah I have no problem right now dealing for prospects/picks. But if Lindback got 2 2nds and another pick, I want the same or more! Is there a greedy smily face?

Sydor25 06-28-2012 03:52 PM

Bernier for Parise's rights.

Well if a teams desperate enough i think we can. Maybe Richardson/Clifford+Bernier for Stalberg

KopitarFAN 06-28-2012 03:53 PM

If we're talking about just draft pick(s), I say **** it, keep him and do it pre-draft next year.

Teams have offered a 1st/prospects for Bernier in the past...can't see how his value dropped off since.

I think Zaktoff is likely to be the backup to Quick when Bernie is moved.

Live in the Now 06-28-2012 03:54 PM

If he wants to go, we don't need a disruptive player. Send him out, sign a backup for a season who knows their role and can deal with it.

Toronto or Winnipeg, IMO.

Zatkoff isn't even going to be in the organization anymore, if it's anyone, it's Jones.

If it's Toronto, Bernier for JVR. If it's NJ, Clarkson for Bernier. If it's Columbus, Bobrovsky +. If it's Chicago, add to Bernier to acquire Kane.

Stalberg + pick or prospect for Bernier?

Nothing disruptive about this.

Kings dont have assets to acquire Kane IMO

After seeing my team acquire Gretzky and Richards, two players I never expected to EVER be traded, I beg to differ.

Don't get me wrong, I think the chances are slim, but it's still a possibility.

Ray Emery could be good fit if Kings want a vet backup going into next year

Supposedly this is the 2nd time this season that he's asked for a trade. If that's not disruptive...

Not sure if thats true, he should be worth a bit more then that. Remember last summer Avs spent 2 firsts for a goalie with not that much more potential. I could see the Leafs trading a good prospect or 1st for him, or maybe Edmonton would be a real good fit. Might be able to get something like Paajarvi for him.

HeadInjury 06-28-2012 04:00 PM

We don't have to trade him, so I'm confident that Lombardi will wait for the right return. If they trade JB, I hope they address a specific need, rather than just getting a draft pick.

Outside of Voynov and Bernier there isn't anything all that appealing to Hawks that would be enough for Kane

The rest of your players (Brown , etc) that Hawks would be interested in aren't available

Hawks wont downgrade there NHL roster by trading Kane for futures

Thought he was resigned last year, or was that a one year deal?
