That's some lame, juvenile writing by Wilde, waste of an article really. He got paid for that too, geez.

Gauthier was a mistake since day one. It's too bad Molson let the team sink so low before firing him.

Glad that Bergevin sees things differently. I'm hoping he learned some good things working in Chicago and can bring this team back to much better days. Now that the front office is in place, it's time to see what the team will look like in September and how things go this season. Can't be worse than last!!

Can someone please tell me what they learned in this article?

I'm still trying to figure out the point. "Bergevin hired a lot of new guys and Gauthier was a big dummy" seems to be his main thrust.

This is what happens when you have a thought that's just a little too long for a Tweet, I guess.

I could be mean and say we learned that you don't need talent or insight to write for CTV Montreal.

In other news, Brian Wilde eats a bologna sandwich and discovers it to be the holy grail of all lunch meats. Article to come tomorrow.

Seriously, it hasn't been a slow off-season and there have been many things to talk about, be it coach staff additions, resigning some players, others being let go, players signing in other leagues. Why the need for this other then to get cheap pops. Pointless, if you ask me.

Pretty lazy too. Ya, Gauthier was a veggie head. He was also a terrible GM that never consulted anyone. That's all common knowledge. Can Wilde add anything that we didn't know before or is he just preaching to the choir.

Pretty lame of Brian Wilde to rag on Gauthier for being a vegetarian. A total non-column by any stretch of the imagination, I'm sure there are GMs who like to have a huge table and those who prefer a very small contingent. Gauthier for all his faults had 20+ years experience in the NHL in upper-management, it's not like rookie GM Marc Bergevin.

Staff members DO speak a lot more, though. Everything they did so far leaked except the Moen signing.

Don't get me wrong. I was riding the tank since last x-mas. I didn't mind the Gautier hiring when it was announced but it didn't take long to see he was an idiot. But if you are to lose, might as well get something out of it. Galchenyuk isn't the next coming of Christ either. Ottawa fans were overwhelmed with happiness when they got Alexandre Daigle. Look how that turned out. I'm hoping he's the real deal and can help the habs out in the future but even Edmonton can suck even with high first round picks. I just hope never to see the Habs suck so much for the rest of my life!

That's an opinion piece, not a "news article". Wilde is just as big a fan as us, and he's in love with what Marc Bergevin has done.

He's not getting paid for those write-ups.

He's a professional and needs to show some semblance of professionalism when he uses his desk job to crank out crap like this.

What the hell. That is perhaps the worse example.

I'm sure the Pens are happy to have Crosby&Malkin. The Hawks are pretty stoked about Toews as well. What about the Lightning and Stamkos? Can't we be allowed to be a bit optimistic for once?

Also I'm not arguing the lack of professionalism, because that is blatant. However you can't dismiss the fact that this wasn't related to his job as a Sports reporter.

It's a blog and it's satire, get off your soapbox.

I'll concede that, I just wish every joe-schmo's blog wasn't linked here. He's insulting Gauthier for being vegan, can't anybody grasp how plain rude that is?

You don't know what satire is. If this is satire it's the most on-the-nose satire I've ever seen. To me it reads like a fanboy acting like a d-bag.

Things started looking up when Molson brought back L'Oreille.

Seriously, that was the omen.

99 percent of blogs are garbage, and I am being generous. Satire is using exagerations and outlandish statements to create sarcasm and there is always a target/victim of the sarcasm. I don't see any reference to vegans, just visuals about vegetables lying around and Gauthier talking to lettuce.

Gauthier stuck with a mess from day 1 did a damn fine job and has set up Bergevin for success. It is pretty rare to find a sports writer who doesnt have his head so far up his own ass he can see his fillings. Him and engels should get married.

Sticking with the pro-Gauthier narrative I see. This pains me.
