Could be a very interesting experiment. Was a consistent 35-40 point guy before going to Toronto.

Wow, didn't see that coming. I'll be honest. 2 million is my guess.

The Doors 07-01-2012 12:39 PM

**** yeah that's pretty cool that he was a child hood fan. Nice bit of grit, should come cheap and want to throw his weight at some Leafs. Wonder what we paid? Probably have BOTH Armstrong and Moen for the same price as Prust.

1 million

Gustave 07-01-2012 12:40 PM

1 mill / 1 year

Bullsmith 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Tender goes to Ottawa, Colby to Montreal. Not a bad gamble. For a million bucks what have you got to lose?

disturbedraven 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Hell yeah!!!!!!

BeBen* 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

****ing. facepalm.

gunners14henry 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

for 1 million seems like a good deal for the habs

gusfring 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

So he is good now?

Habs 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

If the injury free Armstrong shows up, I don't mind it and I like what he brings. He rarely did that though :(

Nidema 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Low risk, decent reward.

Good conservative signing.

Hope he stays healthy/

Coldplay 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Very nice!

JSBach 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Good length, good price. Low risk, high reward.

Really good signing... 1 million!

Rosso Scuderia 07-01-2012 12:41 PM

Loves it! 1M$ not a big risk.

HabsPassion 07-01-2012 12:42 PM

If anyone can confirm, Im pretty sure he was in Pittsburgh when Therrien was Head Coach. I think their is that familiarity factor, and Seems to love the team. Good signing, low risk/high reward type of signing. Me likey!

LyleOdelein 07-01-2012 12:42 PM

I don't mind a short audition contract like that at all for Armstrong.

Leo Getz 07-01-2012 12:42 PM

1 Million for a year. Not bad to see if he can stay healthy for a year and produce.
