Can confirm #Sjsharks signing Adam Burish to 4-year deal, a little under $2M per.

Graveland 07-01-2012 12:56 PM

but we couldnt resign winnik!?

one2gamble 07-01-2012 12:57 PM

kind of random

Lee Van Cleef* 07-01-2012 12:59 PM

He doesn't exactly put up a lot of points. What's the opinion on him for those who know better?

Arrch 07-01-2012 01:00 PM

Gord Miller ‏@GMillerTSN
Burish gets 4 years from San Jose at approximately 1.8 per year.

Iron Chef 07-01-2012 01:02 PM

Hmm, Im nervous about this. Stars fans seem happy that we're getting him because "he sucks"

SJeasy 07-01-2012 01:02 PM

Burish played on Pavs line at UWisc. His game is similar to Winnik's.

Everyone on the stars sucked though so he was probably trying to fit in.

Thepainter 07-01-2012 01:04 PM

Really have no idea how to feel about this.

Kitten Mittons 07-01-2012 01:05 PM

He sucks.

Vertzedyek 07-01-2012 01:05 PM

1,8m for 4 years..?

Uhh.. DW...

Blackhawkswincup 07-01-2012 01:05 PM

Good lockeroom guy but more a 4th liner with limited abiltiy

Good pest ,, That is really all he brings

Gene Parmesan 07-01-2012 01:06 PM

Hes better than Taco Torrey.

Thepainter 07-01-2012 01:06 PM

4th liner... $1.8M.

Yep, DW.

RBR 07-01-2012 01:06 PM

This is not a good signing. Yuck.

Man in the Mirror 07-01-2012 01:07 PM

Does he play RW? C?

Ninja Hertl 07-01-2012 01:07 PM

Sharks haven't had a pest post-lockout IMO. This is good.

He can play some C if needed but is a RW

We get rid of a bad contract in Mitchell only to immediately replace it.

If you want a cheap forward, why this guy when you have Boyes at 1Mil, Latendresse at 1.2 Mil and Colby Armstrong at 1 Mil?

Just never ends with DW. Not to mention this means Winnik and Winchester are gone.

Ninja Hertl 07-01-2012 01:09 PM

I hope people calling this a bad deal look at Mitchell's deal and also look at the fact that Burish is only two years older than Torrey.

Maybe those guys didn't want to come here.

Look at those names again, and you can answer that question yourself.

SJeasy 07-01-2012 01:10 PM

IIRC, less speed and less scoring touch than Mitchell. A bit more sandpaper and defense. And yes, he is a 4th liner, not a third liner.

Stars were using him on 3rd line ,, He cant play that role more then as filler

He is a 4th liner ,, The more you play him the more he struggles

Decent signing, but to me 4 years seems like a long time for a player like him...
