Florida Panthers sign George Parros (2 year deal)
http://panthers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=636785
Looks like a pretty good replacement for Barch. Anyone that can fill me in a bit more on him? |
Good fighter and has some hockey skills.
Seemed like he scored against us everytime we would play ANA |

Yes...i love throwing Parros into our bottom six mix.
|
He is big, and usually loses his balance pretty soon after a scrap starts. Well I hope he can play a little.
|
He's a certified boss, you guys are so lucky to get the #1 enforcer of this year's free agency.
|
Love this signing! Definitely makes up the enforcer hole that we had with Barch not re-signing. He has a great personality, knows his role well, and I think will be a huge fan favorite very quickly. :handclap:

Edit: sorry, actually he wasn't expensive, just one mill. Confused wth Prust. |

Is Parros capable of being a big body on the powerplay or did Anaheim just do that for ***** and giggles at times?
|
I really love having Parros here. I've wanted him for about 5yrs now! you can ask Laus723, I mentioned a while back to him that I wanted Parros here. He will be a great fit and will instantly become a fan fav(thinking about getting a Parros jersey already). This guy can fight and even though he doesn't really score he is a very responsible forward defensively. In 413 career games he is a +10 in +/-. Should really help our bottom lines to allow fewer goals this year. And he knows how to stand up for teamates and doesn't shy away from that. In fact he initiates it himself without needing the word from the coach to do it.

Congrats on signing the 'stache. The only consolation I can take in this is he is not going to a team I hate, I actually jumped on your bandwagon last season. I think he can score more then people realize. When he had Bobby Ryan on his line Bobby's rookie year, he put 5 goals in. His minutes were very limited with the Ducks in recent years. I'm sure he'll become a fan favorite for the Panthers like he was in Anaheim. He is very active in the community and grows out his hair every year to donate to locks of love for cancer patients. He's one of the nice guys and I am very sad to see him go. You better treat him right Florida. ;)

Seemed appropriate.

Loving this signing
|
That mustache alone makes this signing worth it.
|
I'm Laus723 and I approve this signing!! Haha
Step above Barch and we lose little, if anything, in terms of play between the two. No ones gonna mess with young'ins. |

I have really appreciated this guy for a few years now and am stoked he will be a Panther. Great locker room guy, charitable in the community, decent skater and tough as nails. And that epic stache....... |
Gotta love the stache

Well, I hope his time here will be more fruitful than Bradley's. Last year he was suppose to become the fan favourite also.
