Good utility guy.
Oh well...

Stephen 07-01-2012 10:09 PM

Not upset at all. Armstrong, Crabb out, Komarov and McClement in.

joffreyLUUPUL 07-01-2012 10:10 PM

Damn

Bravid Nonahan 07-01-2012 10:11 PM

Good luck to him, he was a good soldier.

The Apologist 07-01-2012 10:11 PM

Good luck to Ceabbs, wish him the best.

FlareKnight 07-01-2012 10:26 PM

Yeah will miss Crabb, but that's how it goes. Wish him the best of luck.

Kessely Snipes 07-01-2012 10:28 PM

Seemed like a good guy, hard working. Best of luck with the caps.

Borschevsky 07-01-2012 10:47 PM

There goes Colbornes offense :sarcasm:

Michael Gary Scott 07-01-2012 10:57 PM

Good. V.v.V

MeowLeafs 07-01-2012 10:59 PM

not enough Crabbs jokes

ITM 07-01-2012 11:00 PM

Liked him but I'd rather see a player like D'Amigo getting those minutes.

Only 4th line guy let go in recent years that irked me as questionable was Tim Brent.

Joey Crabb was no Tim Brent. :sarcasm:

Best of luck in DC.

dubplatepressure 07-01-2012 11:07 PM

How do people 'miss' guys like Crabb?

I miss Clark and Gilmour. Crabb is just someone I may or may not remember being a one-time leaf in 10 years.

Leaf Lander 07-01-2012 11:10 PM

Crabb cost us 3rd overall inb this yrs draft

The Reaper 07-01-2012 11:34 PM

Uh-Oh Crabb may get a hat trick against us :sarcasm:

R3g0rZ 07-01-2012 11:36 PM

Crabby Joe; say it isn't so!?

GOLeafsWootWoot 07-01-2012 11:37 PM

Crabb is like a tim Brent, people were all like "Awww, we miss him, he was good, he had heart" but then we all forget about him and our team doesn't change. But yeah I liked Crabbs' name, it reminded me of lobster... or crabs

showtime8 07-01-2012 11:40 PM

Interesting that they went with Crabb instead of resigning Halpern.

Didn't really hear him complain about the role he was given and worked hard. Best of luck in Wash.

Scoogs 07-01-2012 11:41 PM

Solid player for us.. But Burke made the comparison of someone like D'Amigo possibly stepping up and filling that role. Makes sense, to me. Jerry just has to make the most of it.

When we still have underperforming and underwhelming players like LCK, people will be disappointed when a player like Crabb, who looked like he cared on ice is allowed to walk. And all the while LCK are allowed to collect big paychecks.

I'm happy for Crabb he will do well.

LeafOfBread 07-01-2012 11:48 PM

Good luck to him, liked his work this past season. Was never a huge fan of the guy though, I preferred Brent and Boyce more but either way they are all replaceable players. There was simply no room for him with all the depth players we have as well as prospects knocking on the door.

Mmm...Crabb's absence isn't similar to Brent's because his play wasn't similar to Brent's, lest ye forget that shot-blocking clinic Brent demonstrated toward the end of his last season with Toronto.

Brent was a perfect, fourth line player for Toronto.

He really did do it all. His small stature is what holds him back.

Crabb seemed to find a niche quite quickly under Carlyle. But McClement is a welcome upgrade.

Yeah, and I'm sure he did it on purpose.

Very welcome.

I liked Brent a lot here. On good Toronto clubs there's always a player or two on the bottom 6 that play that inspirational role. We don't have that at present.Grabovski is that at times, but it's not quite the same with respect to an "overcomer" on the club.
