Min - Phx

Minnesota trade
G Josh Harding
LW Jason Zucker

Phoenix Trade
G Jason LaBarbera
D David Rundblad

Phoenix get a better back up who is a 1B for mike smith incase he sucks next year who can hold his own end and get a Winger who is fast and a good scorer & is projected to be a 2nd line winger

Minnesota get a puck moving defender which the kinda need and still get a serviceable backup until Hackett or Another goalie prospect is ready.

let me no what u think :)

Kimahri 07-05-2012 12:48 AM

I'd do it.

ewoksonhoth 07-05-2012 12:50 AM

Lol nah.

DesertDawg 07-05-2012 12:53 AM

sign a UFA and then trade him away?

J22 07-05-2012 01:15 AM

wouldnt mind doing something like Rundblad for one of Zucker/Phillips + but cant see the Wild moving Harding.

IPreferPi 07-05-2012 01:16 AM

Switch out Zucker for Coyle and we'd have a deal.

Coyle gets atleast Rundblad if not +, No way the Wild down grade from Harding to Labarbera as well.

Northland Wild Man 07-05-2012 01:36 AM

No way

JayP812 07-05-2012 02:17 AM

No way from the Wild. Rundblad has a bit more value than Zucker, but the downgrade from Harding to LaBarbara is massive.

If you replace LaBarb with something more enticing I would actually be quite interested in this deal as I like Rundblad but if there is anything the Wild don't need back its goalies, unless we don't feel Hackett is quite ready for backup time yet. While I actually really like our defensive situation going forward, Rundblad and potentially an early to mid pick would be persuasive to me to trade from a position of great strength for the Wild.

No thanks.

I'd prefer to see if Columbus is ready to move on from Mason from a Phx POV. We might need help getting to the cap floor.

Sharppi 07-05-2012 03:16 AM

No thanks. A decent offer but after thinking about the loss of Harding, Wild respectfully declines. Thank you for your contribution though.

TaLoN 07-05-2012 03:53 AM

No..

Blakkmantis 07-05-2012 03:56 AM

Hell no!

IHaveNoCreativity 07-05-2012 12:36 PM

No thanks, we have Suter, Dumba and draft picks.... Don't need Runblad at that cost..

rt 07-05-2012 01:25 PM

Not bad.

LaBarbara would become their AHL guy. This would give room for Hackett.

rynryn 07-05-2012 02:08 PM

I'd do the OP deal. We have an excess of forwards with promise and while we have a lot of D, they're mostly not of Rundblad's potential. We'd have to get rid of a few of them, too, for the space. The team did sign harding for a reason, though. Purely speculation but i think Harding got the deal he did only because they figure Backstrom will cost too much to extend. I think counting on a Harding/Hackett tandem after next year is a really risky idea if we want to get through the playoffs, but what can you do? It's still better than a Labarbara/Hackett duo.

Ideal world where Backs stays for $3-$4m I'd do this deal in a heartbeat.
