OT: Hockey Lodge Warehouse Sale

Anyone know when this is happening? It always seems like it is top secret info during the summer when they have this thing, but there are always crazy good deals to be had. Plus this year they are opening the vault and will be selling year 5 game worns.........

EDIT: found this in the development camp article

I'm also very interested in any information about this.

00xtremeninja 07-05-2012 02:03 PM

Tuesday for my lunch break i will be swinging by the X, lol

Paul Bunyan 07-05-2012 02:17 PM

I'm interested in this as well. I'm finally moving home after being in exile for about 21 years.

These next two weeks are a scouting trip deciding where I'll be living so, it would be interesting to see what kind of Goodies will be found at the X, and stop by to see the prospect games and grab some autographs.

I'm guessing though, that with the recent news it's going to be completely jammed. I'm going with my friends to select-a-seat...yeah, I highly doubt they will be able to move up.

You can probably get a killer deal on a Zidlicky 3rd jersey :sarcasm:

Then rip the name off and sew on Coyle (or name and number and a player of your choice)? :naughty:

Use scissors to cut it off... Won't rip the jersey... Don't want it to go to waste.. And then burn the Zidlicky name plate..

Touche

While you're at it, might as well grab a Miettinen #20 and Nolan #11 too. :D

you know, if Zidlicky acted like a professional and not a little cry baby biznitch, we would have kept him here, not trade to NJ and free up the cap space, and have no Zach or Ryan......food for thought. so burning might be a little extreme, lol.

Has anybody ever been to one of these sales before? what kind of equipment goes on sale? what are the prices like?

Thanks for any info

this providence 07-05-2012 02:26 PM

Truth be told, it's a good way to go about getting a good Wild sweater on the cheap. Buy player's sweaters who have moved on, remove the name and number; add the player you want. Likely cheaper than buying that player's sweater outright...

TP, is it more on the replica side or the authentic side? replicas premade = heat pressed and glued on, which is a pain in the arse to get off, especially without ruining the premier material.

if authentic, pop the stitches and call it good!

Parise/Suter was being discussed as of last year.. They would of made it happen regardless, but hey youse be right.

lol in a way it makes NJ fans hate us even more for dumping a horrid Dman on them in Zids and taking their 2nd round pick because they went so far in the playoffs, hahaha.

Generic User 07-05-2012 02:42 PM

Get a Zidlicky jersey, tear off the name, keep the number. Coyle jersey.

EDIT: Damn, must've skipped TP's post. But yeah, you can still do that.

Genius.

I actually have seen Miettinen and Nolan jerseys on the clearance rack semi-recently.

no authentics to strip down and change the name plate. Game used sticks galore though. used breezers for $40, game used socks for $2 a pair (got a white and red set) and shirts and stuff. bought a red and green practice jersey for a good price and the socks. not too impressed with other stuff.

How much were the sticks running for?

And were the shirts just old player shirts? Like those jersey-T's of players that have moved on?

since theres no authentics, is it possible to take off the glued and heat pressed nameplates? that is a great idea and if its possible to do it without ruining the jersey man i want to look into it

Minnesota 07-10-2012 06:13 PM

I almost want to pick up a cheap replica and get it framed. My house needs more hockey art.

00xtremeninja 07-10-2012 09:15 PM

Sticks were all under100 bucks. The old players were all those mock jersey shirts.

You can remove heat seal and glue, but it is a long process. Plus reebok replica material isnt beefy like airknit

NHL1674 07-10-2012 11:19 PM

James Sheppard game used stick for roughly $30. I'd like to see who buys it. Lots of game used sticks for Lats, which is odd considering he hadn't really played for 2 years. :sarcasm:

00xtremeninja 07-10-2012 11:22 PM

I might snag a Burns one if they have any left on Thursday.

Mittens had a TON too. dude uses a new stick every period. insane.

Obviously it didn't help.
