sign or re-sign?

markisonfire 07-06-2012 01:31 PM

Technically a resign, he was their RFA. But yes, their first time signing him. Wonder what the cap hit will be.

Drouin2Stamkos 07-06-2012 01:37 PM

Hopefully a low cap hit.

joe89 07-06-2012 01:37 PM

Gonna predict between $1,7M and $2,0M.

I highly doubt Anders gets as much as Dubnyk. Dubnyk just got done putting up decent numbers playing 40+ games.

Probably a lot less. Lindback is just getting started.

Yeah, I was penciling him in at the same as Garon (1.3mil), but anything under 2mil is perfectly acceptable. Even if it is a Duby sized contract, it's not like we don't have the cap space.

OilerFan4Life 07-06-2012 01:50 PM

Maybe he'll get Dubnyk money (sarcasm)

Paranoid Android 07-06-2012 01:52 PM

$1.25 - $1.5 is my guess. I think Tampa fans will be happy regardless

maplepred 07-06-2012 01:58 PM

Good luck in Tampa anders!! We will miss ya in Nashville buddy. At least your new team makes moves and betters their team, (get it together poile!) lol

Am I crazy or does that seem really low? I'm not expecting Dubnyk money, but I would have to think 1.9+.

Which comes out to an average of $1.8M per year. I'm a genius. No big deal.

My 1.75 was closer ;) haha

Lightning still have some room to add another player or two. Another run in store for Marty before retirement??

mkearney913 07-06-2012 02:13 PM

Good numbers. Too many questions marks on this guy to give him anything more substantial.

I still don't see him stopping the Lightning's goalie woes, but they've re-vamped their defense, so who knows.

I'm sure that's why he only got a 2-year deal, a chance to show what he's got (or doesn't have).

At any rate, it would seem to me to be impossible for Lindback/Garon to be worse than what we had last year!

Drouin2Stamkos 07-06-2012 02:18 PM

We gave up a good amount to get him so hopefully he does work out. The low cap hit makes it better and takes pressure off. Hopefully he is the real deal. If thats the case TB is in for a real fun season.
