Looks like he signed the qualifying offer...

Gene Parmesan 07-06-2012 08:51 PM

Maybe he will be better.

It's not like he could be much worse...

Kitten Mittons 07-06-2012 08:56 PM

Being called up as an enforcer confused his little mind.

Crazy that he scored more points in his 23 game NHL stint in 2009-10 than he did in his last 60 AHL games ....

Thats true. He responded well to Jody Shelley so maybe Bonneau can guide him. He seems confused on what his role was.

dmband 07-06-2012 09:20 PM

complete waste of a contract spot. Brings his linemates down offensively, no longer a premier fighter and really doesnt kill penalties effectively anymore. Didnt understand this one.

That you don't give up on your homegrown talent after a rough patch?

i guess, but what spot is he going to aspire to on the SJ roster? They have already given him 3 or 4 years in the organization and he's not a first rounder like Kaspar or Petrecki.

LeeIFBB 07-06-2012 10:01 PM

Just give us the cup now and skip the formalities.

Nighthock 07-06-2012 10:12 PM

we need a real enforcer

I'm sure he's done with the organization if he doesn't make great strides this year

Just what this team needs to get over that hump.

Bizz06 07-06-2012 11:24 PM

Seriously. We should dump both Marleau and Pavs. Both had 0 points in that series.

Hip checking Drew Remenda into oblivion.

Audio Outlaw 07-08-2012 06:14 PM

I'm not going to lie. I was hoping to see Kyle Mclaren's name here. I just want to see one more hipcheck.

I think you are right on the enforcer mind games. He was good in 09/10, proved that he could play physical, actually play and chip in a point here and there as well as fight. Been **** since then, i really think the fact that he was offered a contract is based on this limited stint 2 seasons ago *and* that DW won't give up on the notion that we need an enforcer on call.

I'd be shocked if he earned a full time NHL roster spot - i look for him to be called up to beat the snot out of who ever needs it. 10-15 NHL games.
