Anaheim Ducks prospect ranking #1

I guess I have to start this then. Vote one of the 8 prospect and suggest who should be added to the next poll.

Patience my precious.

edit: Voted for Palmieri but I think that Etem has more goal scoring potential.

Elvs 07-08-2012 03:21 AM

Went with the #6th overall pick who might even have a shot at making the team the same year he was drafted. Some of the other options may be better now, but had much more time to develop.

Dirk316 07-08-2012 03:24 AM

Dsp
Only one who showed true nhl promise
Add Clark

Kalvinators 07-08-2012 03:38 AM

Etem. Holly pretty close to.

Sooo, we wote for highest potential, or how ready are they now?
I picked the 1st option.

Ok, add Kerdiles

DuckJet 07-08-2012 03:39 AM

This was tougher than I thought. Went with Etem.

Vote who you think is best. Potential and readiness are things that affect how good someone is.

Finnpin 07-08-2012 05:01 AM

IMO poll after training camp would have been better. Nobody saw Vatanen at conditioning camp --> low poll number for him ;)

Paul4587 07-08-2012 05:57 AM

It was close between Lindholm, Palmieri and Etem who I think most would agree are our top 3 guys.

I went with Palmieri. Maybe less upside than the other two but he's already lit up the AHL and he's shown glimpses of finishing ability at the NHL level.

Add Kerdiles.

Lord Flashheart 07-08-2012 06:25 AM

Voted for Sami. Dominated pro league for 2 years...

JabbaJabba 07-08-2012 06:40 AM

Wow, I'm surprised that Vatanen is leading this :amazed:.

Fallenity 07-08-2012 07:33 AM

Vatanen is leading right now because it's daytime in Finland, most Pacific fans are still asleep or just waking up

Pretty much.

I voted for KP. He dominated the AHL and was damn good in his last NHL stint.

Hagged 07-08-2012 09:13 AM

Well Vatanen might also be leading this because there is over 40 point rookie season coming. Vatanen might be getting the Calder (even if it's rare for a D to win) if he has a good year and Tarasenko/Granlund/Yakupov won't be as dominate as some think of them.

Spicy Porkins 07-08-2012 09:17 AM

I voted Palmieri. It was close between him, Etem, and Vatanen. In the end, I think my ranking is Palmieri (AHL success, and a bit of a breakthrough at the end), Vatanen (success in a pro league, hairstyle like an 1980s lesbian), and then Etem.

Here are the results from last season's poll:

Quote:

1. Emerson Etem 52.17%
2. Peter Holland 54.10%
3. Kyle Palmieri 46.97%
4. Sami Vatanen 48.53%
5. Justin Schultz 49.09%
6. Devante Smith-Pelly 61.29%
7. John Gibson 55.56%
8. Rikard Rakell 57.50%
9. Patrick Maroon 31.71%
10. Nick Bonino 41.86%
11. Matt Clark 52.27%
12. Max Friberg 43.18%
13. Nicolas Deschamps 47.37%
14. William Karlsson 25.71%, 64.86% of tiebreaker
15. Igor Bobkov 51.52%
16. Maxime Macenauer 50.00%
17. Joseph Cramarossa 41.67%
18. Chris Wagner 32.35%
19. Rick Schofield 36.36%
20. Andy Welinski 30.30%
21. Kevin Lind 34.62%
22. Jake Newton 55.56%
23. Mathieu Carle 32.14%
24. Brett Perlini 45.00%
25. Tim Heed 34.78%

Exit Dose 07-08-2012 09:25 AM

Do we still own the rights to Perlini and Lind?

DuckshaveaRPG 07-08-2012 10:23 AM

voted Etem the kid has so much drive and wants to be a top NHl player is work ethic is top draw and i think he will do what ever it takes to succeed and already has the physical skills and top draw offensive abilities

add Andy Welinski

Gliff 07-08-2012 10:28 AM

Palmieri for me.

Add Welinski

ShadowDuck 07-08-2012 10:31 AM

Went with Palmieri, he's shown the most and is more NHL ready than any others outside DSP.

airforceones25 07-08-2012 11:20 AM

Etem Holland Palmieri Lindholm Vatanen

DSP is no longer a prospect in my books. He played over 40 games in the NHL last year.

Absolutely shocked that Vatanen is leading this

I guess you're not a Finnish hockeysexual. Shocked is a pretty strong word, though.

Vinegar Strokes 07-08-2012 11:26 AM

I've been on the Vatanen hype train for quite some time, no reason to veer off now.

TesseracT 07-08-2012 11:30 AM

Jumped on the Holland bandwagon.

I wasn't really sure if I should add DSP but I didn't see anywhere that he has graduated so I added him. I wonder if we should consider Maroon and McMillan as prospects?
