Eberle versus RNH versus Yakupov

Not really sure if this is the right forum and this thread can be deleted or moved if necessary, but I was posting on another forum and there was some discussion of who is more valuable to the Oilers.
I think it is RNH->Eberle->Yakupov based on team needs and I was just wondering if Oiler's fans or any others agreed.

IMO:

RNH > Yakupov > Eberle

But honestly, you could have them in any order and it wouldn't look out of place at all.

Kloparren 07-08-2012 10:38 PM

Agree with above poster.

Fantasy value atm though is RNH/Eberle/Yakupov just cos Yakupov's not done anything in the NHL yet.

I expect the others to be superstars while Eberle is gonna fluctuate between 1st liner to star....I don't expect him to be hitting 80 pts every season.

The one danger I see is that Yakupov doesn't get off to a great start while Eberle is putting up 70+ pts and the team treats Yakupov as a trade asset. Gotta give him at least a couple yrs, Yakupov's potential is 100 pts or more. Eberle's value atm can land a no1 dman or one yr + the rights to a certain pending RFA dman. A package of Hemsky/Gagner+Omark+whatever contrary to whatever Edmonton fans will say is not gonna get you that type of dman.

I would take eberle over both the top picks

He has a much more complete game but given his draft spot he sadly is most likely 4th out of 4, which is all the better for every other team :)

Eberle>Nuge>Yak

The what have you done for me lately theory.

Dolph Ziggler 07-08-2012 11:26 PM

I would go RNH > Eberle > Yakupov

Izzy 07-08-2012 11:28 PM

Eberle>RNH>Yak

Basically in their accomplishments. Hard to rate so far

For Edmonton I think it's Eberle > Hopkins > Yakupov

Eberle is so damn smart, so damn clutch and figure he's likely to spend his entire career with Edmonton.

Hopkins is the center we've craved for years. I wouldn't be surprised if he was happy to stay in Edmonton for a long time either because him and Eberle seem to naturally have magical chemistry.

Yakupov is money.

-----

For the NHL I think it's Hopkins > Yakupov > Eberle (On these boards)

Hopkins is a budding first line center. Nothing more.

Yakupov is an amazing athlete with tons of offensive upside.

Eberle is a 2nd line forward... seriously. That's pretty much how I feel half the people on HF view Eberle. It's insane. In the polls section "the people" took 1-way forward Phil Kessel far ahead of Eberle.

BLASPHEMOUS 07-09-2012 12:21 AM

RNH is probably the most valuable player of the three based on game and position, but I like Eberle the best. Future captain.

RNH is the best. Centre, smart, slick, skilled. He just has it. So crafty. Will be a superstar.

Eberle. I stopped doubting him 2-3 yrs ago. He is just incredible. I always think, "well next year his numbers will drop," but he continues to not only impress, but blow expectations out of the water. Not sure what his deal is, or how he does it, but I like it.

Yak...I think he is more talented than Hall and brings alot of the same characteristics to the rink. Wildcard. I would trade Hall before him at this point, which already says a ton. Very excited for him, but can't put him ahead of the others after watching them in the NHL.

Nobody touches Nuge tho, he is something else.

TimtheDJ84 07-09-2012 02:57 AM

I love what I see in Eberle...when I watched him play, he seemed to be the most dangerous..

ricky0034 07-09-2012 03:24 AM

Hall>all of them if(big if with his playstyle) he can stay healthy

bp spec 07-09-2012 08:39 AM

RNH, Eberle, Yak

oilersfan11 07-09-2012 11:43 AM

I believe Yakupov will be better than Eberle but not RNH.

So

RNH>Yakupov>Eberle

Kershaw 07-09-2012 11:44 AM

RNH
Yak
Eberle

Komarov77 07-09-2012 11:48 AM

Yak>RNH>Eberle

Trap Jesus 07-09-2012 11:51 AM

RNH > Eberle > Yakupov

lakai17 07-09-2012 12:00 PM

keep this in the oil thread! others get jealous easily.

RNH is already a top 10 center in the league after his rookie season.

Speaking of things that should stay on the Oilers board :shakehead

Top 10 centre in the near future? Likely. Top 10 centre as of this moment? :help:

RNH > Eberle, and it's way too soon to judge Yakupov. Let him play a period or two in the NHL before we crown him as the next great one or trash him as the biggest bust in draft history, shall we?

WJG 07-09-2012 12:24 PM

I think Eberle can be a franchise, 90+ point player like Parise and Giroux.

doubt it. Giroux can put his team on his back and win you a series. Ebs is not a threat every shift but is a good complimentary player who scores clutch goals

Crosby, Malkin, Sedin, Giroux, Datsyuk, Spezza, Backstrom, Getzlaf, Tavares, Kopitar, Bergeron, Kesler, Both Richards', Both Staals, Lecavalier, Stamkos.

It's not other's getting jealous, though I'm sure most are jealous of the Oilers young tandem, it's Oilers fans overvaluing their players.
