USA vs Canada: Better Goalies

Canada Top Goalies
Price
Ward
Luongo
Smith

USA Top Goalies
Thomas
Quick
Miller
Howard

Obviously, there are more 'top' ones and I'm probably missing a few of them, but who has the better top goalies?

bruinsfan46 07-10-2012 02:18 AM

USA, not close.

USA vs. Finland is a better poll, Canada is a distant third.

Kane One 07-10-2012 02:23 AM

Right now, USA easily.

Vankiller Whale 07-10-2012 02:24 AM

*Cough*Brodeur*Cough*

And is this all time or right now?

And you forgot Schneider on the U.S list.

WJG 07-10-2012 02:26 AM

Replace Smith with Holtby and Howard with Schneider.

USA still wins easily.

Benny FTW 07-10-2012 02:28 AM

Usa.

Back in 94 07-10-2012 02:28 AM

Is Mike Smith really the 4th best Canadian goalie?

Incognito 07-10-2012 02:35 AM

If we're talking about right now, then the USA wins this. Goaltending is the one place they have an edge over Canada at the moment.

However, if this poll is meant to reflect current (meaning as of today) top goalies for the two respective countries, then Brodeur still belongs on the list for Canada.

Why would you replace Howard with a guy who has never been a number 1 in the league before?

Its absurd how hard Schneider is getting overrated without ever having done anything in this league (besides lose 3 consecutive Stanley Cup playoff games).

Get your facts straight buddy.

lakai17 07-10-2012 03:06 AM

Canada always win, so gotta go with the Canadians!!

Man Bear Pig 07-10-2012 03:08 AM

The US is better. Replace Miller with Schneider though.

Yeah Schneider is better than a Vezna winner. Good God.

InjuredChoker 07-10-2012 04:55 AM

USA, by fair margin.

Trance Kuja 07-10-2012 04:59 AM

I think it's clear that USA has better goalies currently.

Bubba88 07-10-2012 06:46 AM

I may be in the minority, but I think it's about Even. 1 Season can change much. Think about next year with Luongo winning the Conn Smythe and a year without Thomas, Schneider can't handle the pressure and Price plays like a Vezina goalie.

Many would change. I call it even.

Luongo, Price and Ward = amazing
Quick, Miller and Schneider = amazing

I was thinking the same thing.

USA pretty easily IMO.

WingsMike 07-10-2012 08:23 AM

USA and I don't think it's very close.

Was going to say something along these lines.

I think it is close, but a slight edge to USA. But a season can change everything.

PSGJ 07-10-2012 08:53 AM

I'd also say that Canada has no goalie as good as Lundqvist. Of course Sweden has no depth though.

bp spec 07-10-2012 10:51 AM

Usa.

KA BLAMO 07-10-2012 11:45 AM

At the moment, easily USA.

Dolph Ziggler 07-10-2012 12:01 PM

USA easily
