Howse is probably a long shot, but if he ever finds his toolbox...

JurassicTunga 07-10-2012 01:44 PM

Picking Wotherspoon

InfinityIggy 07-10-2012 01:45 PM

Went with Wotherspoon

Ortio and Bouma HM.

Flamesrule 07-10-2012 03:28 PM

Went with Aliu, yet again.

Flamefan1 07-10-2012 05:13 PM

Went with Wotherspoon.

FLAMES666 07-10-2012 05:25 PM

I went with Howse, even though he came in out of shape last year he started to show up at the end of the year. Still lots of potential in him.

nogger 07-10-2012 05:30 PM

Coda Gordon.

MVW 07-10-2012 05:53 PM

I can't vote on my phone but I'd go with Howse here. I'd bet he shows up like a different player this year on a mission, otherwise he'll be an after thought of the Flames and he knows that.

Crazy how much Wahl has fallen off the radar.

I was finally able to vote. Went with Aliu to break the tie.

Fleury14 07-11-2012 12:37 AM

I haven't seen him play, but I figure we must have drafted Wotherspoon in the 2nd round for a reason, so he'll be my pick.

Hard to argue with him either. I really hope Aliu has a break thru year of sorts.

HighLifeMan 07-11-2012 12:58 AM

Wanted to go Bouma...again.

Went Wotherspoon!

Turboed 07-11-2012 01:52 PM

If I could vote, but since I'm too new, I would go with wotherspoon. Watched a couple Winterhawks, Oil kings games from the whl finals and he appeared to be solid.

tyflames 07-11-2012 03:52 PM

Wotherspoon. Had Alui not scored in his only 2 GAMES he wouldn't even be considered at all, I still don't even consider him a decent prospect for the fact he has only 2 games with us under his belt and the rest of his time has been AHl and unspectacular, no way he should beat out a second round pick.

Xelstyle 07-11-2012 06:15 PM

Howse. A good year from him will be big.

wally31 07-11-2012 06:39 PM

How is Wortherspoon ahead of guys like Bouma? Are people voting based on ceiling?

To be honest he is my least favorite pick out of the Feaster era so far. He is pretty big but not huge, he isn't afraid to play the body but doesn't hit alot, he doesn't have great offensive instincts, he is positionally sound but not overly fast. I see him as a new version of Pardy which I don't value that highly.

Hell 2 games in the NHL is better than 60% of all prospects in a given year. Aliu not only played in the NHL, he played exceptionally well. A player that got 3pts in 2 games certainly deserves to play a third ****ing game lol.

2 games more than Wotherspoon might ever get.

I think everyone's reasons are their own.

For me I don't consider Bouma a prospect anymore.

InfinityIggy 07-11-2012 10:40 PM

For me im trying to weigh Ceiling and NHL Readiness evenly.

Devilspuppet666 07-12-2012 12:37 AM

i base mine on ceiling

Hopefully, he was apparently pretty lazy this year. Next year will be really make or break for Howse I think.

Flames Fanatic 07-12-2012 12:38 PM

Apparently I'm the tie breaker on this one. Wotherspoon. Top four potential someday, nothing but praise so far at the development camp and from his coach in Portland. The fact that he's fallen this far is a joke.

I like Aliu as much as the next guy, but come on, we got him for scraps for a reason. Two months of hockey in the A and a few games in the NHL doesn't elevate him into our top twenty prospects. If those few games mattered Brett Sutter was going to be the next Eric Lindros for us. The fact that he's getting votes over Bouma? Laughable.
