Pittsburgh fans must be really driving up the percentages in this one because there's no way the poll should be as close as a 54/46 split.

Chris Hansen 07-10-2012 07:02 PM

Haha, how in the world is that poll even remotely close?

Based on one season. Toews has never had 40 goals or 80 points. Of course, defense, faceoffs, intangibles don't show up in point totals.

Quite right. Toews also doesn't play with the best player in the world.

Looks like TSN voters think the same way as most HF members as things relate to "what have you done for me lately."

It's also because everyone looks at the G,A,P stats, sure Toews will never lead the league in scoring, but you won't find a better overall center in the NHL, great 2 way player who wins a ton of FO and is one of the most clutch players in the league. That stuff doesn't look as pretty as 40 goals, even if in often cases it's more important.

No Fun Shogun 07-10-2012 10:55 PM

I did my part.

deytookerjaabs 07-10-2012 11:32 PM

Did my part, man is Kane underrated.

AbeLincolnsGhost 07-10-2012 11:37 PM

The whole thing is pointless though since Crosby is on there. As someone already said he's the best player in the world, so he is definitely the best player under 25. I don't see a reason for the poll at all.

Toews is losing this one, Come on and vote, and vote often!

Crazy_Ike 07-23-2012 07:28 PM

It is ridiculous that this is even close. Toews is ten times the player Eberle is.

Eberle is flashy, and it's a Canadian website. I expected this.

Chris Hansen 07-23-2012 07:31 PM

Haha, if Eberle was even close to Toews, then Edmonton wouldn't still be the doormat of the NHL.

Bubba88 07-25-2012 01:05 AM

Karlsson is leading over Giroux

It's a joke that Eberle won, but Karlsson should beat Giroux.

nds90 07-25-2012 02:13 AM

karlsson's a beast, but i'd take giroux over him.

giroux vs. kopitar is tough, tavares got screwed over being paired with stamkos, neal vs toews was a good one, but pretty lame eberle beat toews

crosby should win no doubt. why no kane?

UsernameWasTaken 07-25-2012 03:10 AM

ha ha ha...no way toews was ever going to win a TSN poll against Eberle :laugh::laugh:

i'm not saying eberle is better than toews - he's not. i just mean that the That's Hockey watching crowd here in Canada simply wouldn't vote for toews over eberle...ever.

on what basis? b/c he's better or b/c you think ppl in canada watching tsn will vote for K over G? Keep in mind the TSN ongoing "under 25" poll isn't really determing who is better...it's determining who canadians watching That's Hockey in the middle July will vote for

i think there's a good chance that G wins...if nothing else I doubt the voting pool for this contest (which, i assume, heavily consists of people for the GTA and lower mainland...just going by population) will vote for a Sen. but we'll see!

Because I think Karlsson is better/has the higher ceiling.

No Fun Shogun 07-25-2012 12:45 PM

eh, I cared enough to vote, but I didn't care enough about the results.

Staropramen 07-25-2012 03:50 PM

at the moment, taylor Hall is leading stamkos 55:45

what?

Canadian fans voting for players on Canadian teams. Don't catch feelings.

xX Hot Fuss 07-25-2012 03:56 PM

Awesome. I was just thinking i needed another reminder that Crosby is the best in the world.

madgoat33 07-25-2012 03:59 PM

man, are canadians really this petty?
