The Official (2nd Annual) "Your Team's 2012/13" Roster Thread

It's that time of the year again folks.

Now that MOST of Free Agency has passed, fans are beginning to get a glimpse of what their teams may look like for the start of the season. In reality, those lineups will change as the season goes on, but it's always nice to see in one place what people think their lineup combos are.

For those that are interested, here is last years version:

Things To Remember
- Try and List any Trades you make, don't just include your team having Bobby Ryan without what would go the other way
- Try and list the price of any free agents you may sign
- Try and be realistic
- Comment and critique other teams lineups if you wish as well

That trade would never, ever, happen. Lucic puts up almost identical stats to Nash, is four years younger, and brings a ton more to the party aside from statistics. I'm not even the biggest Lucic fan (I think he takes a lot of nights off), but I wouldn't trade him for Nash straight up.

/QUWho would you move for Nash if you had to move someone?

idontovervalueleafs 07-12-2012 01:58 PM

from leafs perspective

lupul/kadri/kessel
jvr/grab/mac
kulemin/mcclement/frattin
brown/steckel/rosehill or a cheap ufa

phaneuf/komi
gardiner/gunnar
holzer/jml

gysbers 7th d man

reimer
scrivens

out are connolly (possibly to the ahl), franson traded with bozak and then lombardi traded for a draft pick around the 4th or 5th round

wont speculate on who the leafs get in return for franson and bozak (which is why another player on leafs team might get traded as well) hoping you all could tell me who is a good fit to leave and who is good coming back in return

flame away i know you all hate leaf fans. atleast i kept it civil

Swap Buff and Bogo and your gold. I predict we land either 3rd(if we win the SE div) or 7/8. Probably 8th.

I think this is a pretty homer statement if it is being judged on their play alone. If you take into account salary then you may have a point but Nash is on a different level.

Pretty good. I think we'll get more than just Upshall towards the playing roster though. Your deal is basically Luo for Shore and a 2nd. Upshall is just CAP relief and a throw in.

I really want Matthias to come back to fill in the 3C spot and drop Manny to 13th FWD.

Chances for either Brodin to push Prosser out of the lineup (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease) or Kampfer to do the same. Also the positions on the third line could juggle. Might see Clutter on the left, Brodziak on the right, and Cullen down the middle.
