FTLOG don't trade him to the reds.

Crede777 07-13-2012 08:01 PM

blahblah wanted a link to the report that Nash wouldn't expand his list to include Ottawa.

Here's a quote:
Quote:

Generally speaking, Murray said, the Senators would not try to “talk somebody into coming to Ottawa,” beyond the usual pitch of this being a competitive club, a good city, with a friendly travel schedule.

“If you have to beg, it’s probably the wrong player that you’re talking to,” Murray said.

This is very different from what most other GM's are saying which is "Howson's asking price is asinine." Instead, it's not about Howson rejecting the trade but Nash.

QFT :yo:

The downward spiral into inanity continues....

Nash is getting to watch a good game. Wonder if his drink is a double the way he winced when he took a drink.

squarelaces 07-13-2012 08:30 PM

The more I look at that shot makes me wonder, where are the guns a player of his stature and size should have?

Seems that they're big enough to score thirty every year for the last five. Lots of guys look the part, but can't produce those results.

There is nothing in there that states any conversation was made with Nash. You are assuming that is the case.

I heard here that he was fat and lazy!

Robert 07-13-2012 08:44 PM

Has Nash been traded yet???

squarelaces 07-13-2012 08:48 PM

I'm making an observation. When he got here he was a big boy. Now he is more mature and has been working out with teammates and others, doing things that grow mass. Just sayin...

Brad Richards only had 2.5 threads full of posts about him.

Nash > Richards

Revisit the threads to witness Timeless Winter's inevitable descent into madness:

I'm with Pete. I've seen guys who are absolutely ripped (Kryzstof Oliwa comes to mind) and can't play the game. Hockey is a game of lower body strength; it's a big part of the reason guys like Sidney Crosby are so good even though they aren't overly big. If you ever get a chance to see Sid in shorts, his legs are like tree trunks, whereas his arms aren't that big.

Saw some interesting stuff over on TSN today:

Quote:

"If we do complete a trade, we're trading out a 30 to 40 goal scorer," said Howson. "Defence is probably the strongest part of our team if we look at it today, so we're looking to get some NHL forwards back first and foremost."
There are also a couple of videos on there (no way to link them) that might be worth checking out. Not a lot of new news, but more or less just re-iterating what we already knew.

Reads like a NY Times movie review. Post of the day.

Skraut 07-13-2012 08:57 PM

20 posts in, and nobody has mentioned Firing Howson yet?

Y'all are slacking.

Just the average day for Matthew on HFBoards.

squarelaces 07-13-2012 09:09 PM

This is what makes it hard to post here. It could have been the shot of Rick. The response is that I diss his ability or get comparisons to Oliwa and Crosby. He looked thin to me. Geez.
