Your new Winnipeg Jets

Over on the mock drafts board, i recently partoke in a GM game, and I was given your Winnipeg Jets. I tried to build them into a solid team, without giving up the future. Heres how i did.

I think it looks quite good, but I figured you guys would know best whether I did a good job or not. Would you guys prefer this team to the one you guys have now?

wpgsilver 07-19-2012 09:23 PM

Its a fantasy team. I don't know if I would prefer it because its so disconnected from reality. That said, some transactions are good, some are terrible (the Wheeler deal). Anyways good luck I suppose .

Yeah, that one stood out to me. I wouldn't even trade Wheeler straight up for those two.

Good stuff though. That first deal with the Kings looks pretty sweet.

I dunno... I can't take these things. Far too many crazy trades and turnovers. Kinda turns me off a bit

DancesWithWookies 07-19-2012 11:57 PM

so...when do we get this team? now? Why are you not GM?

edit: Oh wait, nevermind, you spent to the cap LOL, like that will ever happen. Your fired.

Flair Hay 07-20-2012 12:05 AM

Team is huge on defense but offense is pretty weak.

Aerial 07-20-2012 12:07 AM

I'm with what Wpgsilver said. Purely as a fantasy team it looks good on paper. As a fan, I can't imagine how horrifyingly unhappy I'd be if Chevy moved Wheeler, Slater, Stuart, Kane, Little, Enstrom AND Buff in one short space of time.

The Wheeler/Slater trade is major ouch for the Jets.

Why did the Islanders GM agree to that Grabner / Niederreiter for Wellwood and Klingberg trade?

How and why did we acquire Matt Cooke? And what happened to Poni?
