Bauer one70 goalie pad

Hey guys I'm looking for a new set of leg pads and I'm debating between the new one70 pads or last season's one80 pads. Now I know the one 70 is actually an update of last years one60 so it is technically a lower grade pad. However I don't see any differences between the two and the new one70 is about 100 bucks cheaper than the clearance priced one80.

Anyone have experience with this series of pad and want to offer me some insight? it would be my first time wearing Bauer as I'm coming over from 4 year old Vaughn visions.

Not having any direct experience with them.

Though, ask here.

They'll have way better insight on goalie gear than most posters on this board.

its just the quality of materials and durability. you get what you paid for... especially with bauer low end stuff.

Can vouch for this, I had Bauer One55's and they didn't even last a year before they got all torn up :shakehead

Bauer low end stuff is awful, you are better off going for Reebok or Vaughn.

Hmm alright guess I'll try and find the one80 on clearance then. Thanks boys!

yup, if you want to stick to bauer, rx8 is also a great option for its price on GM

The One80s are definitely the better choice. Low end Bauer stuff, as others have said, is terrible. I bought One60s first and the day I got them the stitching started to rip. I upgraded to the One80s immediately and they're still going strong over a year later.

My problem now is finding one80's in the size and design that I want. Are the newer one90's much different/better?

The One90s are a blend of of the 80s and 100s...so they'd be slightly better than the One80s.
