Interesting Timmins interview

Sorry if this isn't topic worthy.

The Habs website released a new video today. I know the interview itself was right after the draft, but its a lenghty one where Timmins is pretty open minded IMO, and doesn't have to hide his cards as much (Like he had to do prior to the draft)

Cool info on the prospects and all that, but man, Timmins just seems like a cool guy. :)

Did Montreal choose the number #27 for Galchenyuk because that speaks volumes about the future of the team.

I love how his son just walks behind, gets some camera time, stands there, then goes away

It's just development camp numbers, no need to get riled up.

what does this mean? what does a number has anything to do with Galchenyuk style with Kovalev?

I think he means how Rene Bourque currently holds #27 and is still on roster.

Well used to, Bourque made the switch to #17. It was announced at the same time as the new additions with Armstrong, Prust and Cube.

Borque is changing back to #17, no?

This is the best interview made to anyone in the habs organization

I agree. It's also awesome how Trevor knows he won't interrupt him and just ignores him. Boss all around (both of them)

Bullsmith 07-21-2012 01:03 PM

Great interview. You can see how excited he was about getting Collberg in the second round. High hopes for this kid.

I'm glad that despite his size, he has some good legs. Very important for a hockey player.

Great interview by Timmins. This new management is a breath of fresh air (not Timmins per say, but the way they all feel much more laid back when dealing with media/fans).

He's trying hard to keep a lid on it, but you can see how happy he is after this draft!

Timmins is a very positive, confident person and he had seen all of the players they drafted play.It wouldn't surprise me if he watched all the players on his list play.Every player he drafted has the requisite talent needed to play in the NHL,it's no wonder he had a grin from ear to ear,I can't wait to see these players in Hamilton and Montreal.:nod:

SarcazemKadri 07-25-2012 12:19 PM

Leaf Fan. Man, Timmins really seems like he just gets drafting. If I didn't hate the Canadiens with a passion I'd be excited to watch this team, some exciting prospects coming up.
