About time, all the worried people can take a breath now. :)

awesomo 07-23-2012 09:37 AM

Omg why didn't they sign him earlier!!!!!!

Gord 07-23-2012 09:37 AM

I almost wished they waited longer. there were a few people beginning to panic. it was enjoyable to see.

joestevens29 07-23-2012 09:37 AM

I honestly don't know what to say.

The Imp 07-23-2012 09:37 AM

Signed who?

MeestaDeteta 07-23-2012 09:42 AM

Awesome, now let's just hope we have a next season to see him play...

Marc the Habs Fan 07-23-2012 09:42 AM

Hopefully some of you troll Bob Stauffer real good today, LOL. ''He could spend 2-3 years in the KHL'' and all that non-sense he was spewing.

oilers2k10 07-23-2012 09:43 AM

So does this mean that hes all ours now? Forever?

Fayne Gretzky 07-23-2012 09:43 AM

Since he is a Russian, couldn't he just leave anyway? What does this contract actually prove? just curious.

Matt Ryan 07-23-2012 09:45 AM

okay...

jumptheshark 07-23-2012 09:48 AM

well considering that he could only sign for what was part of the CBA--not too much of a shock

He's not going to leave anyway. He wants to play in the NHL more than anything.

He can't legally leave and if there is a lockout and he chooses to play in the KHL, once the NHL is back he would be bound by contract to return to the Oilers.

4. The KHL and NHL respect each otherís contracts. Both parties recognize and support the main principle: players under contract with a club from one league cannot fulfill any obligation to a club from another league during the term of the playerís contract.

This is why I'm glad it's done. Now it's official

Perfect_Drug 07-23-2012 09:57 AM

Radulov bolted during a contract though.

:/

nafrelio 07-23-2012 09:58 AM

Now people can back away from the ledge...although creating extra drama for yourself does have a place. ;)

That was arguably before the agreement between the KHL and NHL.

It's as though that, in this internet age, people forget what order things happened in.
