Will be multiple players involved in Nash trade to NYR. Contracts are being reviewed, etc. All to be done before trade call.

Roadman 07-23-2012 01:20 PM

Who blinked, Sather or Howson?

ClevelandJacketFan 07-23-2012 01:23 PM

Translation: Thank God it's over.

Seems like that'll depend on how much you, and anyone else, values any of the players involved.

Since I don't value Nash that much, I'm expecting a good return :D

trbr86 07-23-2012 01:27 PM

I think that Sather blinked. He had to react to Weber (potentially) going to the Eastern conference.

ClevelandJacketFan 07-23-2012 01:27 PM

For it to come out of the blue like this means that NYR blinked, IMO.

That is what I am thinking or at least hoping.

Stretch Factor 07-23-2012 01:29 PM

Have to think if Krieder is not included- Howson blinked

lol, we obviously are thinking along the same lines.

If they didn't, I think Howson would be foolish to wait this long to take a diminished return.

BigFatCat999 07-23-2012 01:30 PM

I'd like to thank Columbus for helping Nashville is potentially getting more for Weber if Poile is trying to trade for Philly talent instead of the 1sts.

Stepan not in the deal according to Dreger. Porty is confirming right now.

Double-Shift Lassť 07-23-2012 01:32 PM

"Stepan not included" per latest Dreger tweet.

I'm told Rick Nash trade to NYR is done pending trade call. Stepan not included.

IndyDave 07-23-2012 01:32 PM

As to determining who blinked. Is the test whether Stepan, Kreider or McDonagh included?

CBJSlash 07-23-2012 01:35 PM

If they are indeed in the market for Doan. I'd have to think that'd mean Kreider is more likely. They'd already have Nash, Gaborik, Callahan and Doan on their top 6 wings.

I am preparing myself for a deal that does not include Krieder either, but multiple other pieces. Which will be a disappointment. If Krieder's in, I'll be pleasntly surprised.

Quantity over quality, most likely. Hagelin or AA maybe, stuff like that.

Stretch Factor 07-23-2012 01:37 PM

I'm guessing Dubi and Krieder are the center pieces.

Jaxs 07-23-2012 01:39 PM

Kreider plus ++ hopefully.

not bad at all if that is the case.

Hooks 07-23-2012 01:41 PM

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger
Dubinsky, Erixson and 1st believed to be 3 of 4 pieces included in Nash trade.

Stretch Factor 07-23-2012 01:41 PM

Dubi, Erixon, 1st, +?
