I think Lesnar/Rock is pretty obvious. The rest, who the **** knows. Will be kinda sad if they drag Ambrose/Foley out this long.

Honestly I'd be cool with Cena beating Taker if they actually evolve his character.

Concordski 04-29-2012 12:11 AM

I think CM Punk should be the one to beat Taker, the winner needs to be dark enough.

M.C.G. 31 05-02-2012 06:38 PM

Aside from predictions, is anyone planning on going to WrestleMania 29 this year?

El Dandy* 05-02-2012 08:35 PM

lol you have "realistic prediction thread" and then put the Tag Titles on the card.

How is Lesnar vs Rock obvious?

After beating Cena, Rock cut a promo about winning the championship.

They're paying Lesnar millions of dollars for regular but relatively few appearances.

It may not end up that way, but it's the clear course right now

The Rock mentioning winning the title again. I'm not sure if it will be vs. Lesnar. But I'd bet my life savings Rock headlines as challenger for the WWE championship.

They are the two biggest stars associated with the WWE. Combined, their drawing power is far greater than anybody else in the WWE. I don't think the WWE can take any of their "own guys" and get them past Brock and Rock between now and Mania.

I'll be there. Too close for me not to go.

OmniSens 05-06-2012 11:44 PM

I understand your arguments about Rock saying he'll win the title one day again, I'm all for that being a huuuuuuge Rock fan. But I mean, it makes the WWE such a joke, if not for it's title alone. Give it to someone who wrestles 1-2 matches a year, instead of giving to someone who deserves it more, Cena is that guy. Or anyone else for that matter who wrestles all year long

Depending on how they milk this out and keep rolling on with Lesnar, Rock shouldn't be able to take him out. Just like he shouldn't of taken out Cena, but then again, WWE had other plans.

So here's to Rock winning the title, but wouldn't make sense to give it to someone who won't defend it

I've gotta feeling the main event will be Rock (c) vs Cena II with Cena coming out on top. Knowing WWE it's possible....and quite dumb.

M.C.G. 31 05-07-2012 07:45 AM

There's a lot of backstory to Rock/Lesnar if they decide to go that route.

The whole 2002 Summerslam angle, or that they're very close friends?

SummerSlam 2002 where Brock Lesnar won his first WWE Championship.

The Rock said defeating John Cena would cement his legacy as the greatest of all time, he did that. He's beaten Hogan, Austin and Cena. Tie in SummerSlam 2002 and those comments by The Rock, Lesnar can say Rock is nothing until he's beaten Lesnar and then bring up the fact that Lesnar beat The Rock in his first few months in the company to become WWE Champion for the first time.

Wrestlemania 29 - All discussion here

Tonight we heard The Rock say he is going to face the WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble and right away this thought came to me. He's going to win it and John Cena wins the Royal Rumble match, seeting up a Rock vs Cena rematch at Wrestlemania 29 with Cena winning the championship.

M.C.G. 31 07-24-2012 03:11 AM

Wow, who would've thunk it?

Honestly though, I don't see Cena winning the rumble. He'll win the Raw no. 1 contender chamber to face The Rock.

TheMurdocktor 07-24-2012 06:29 AM

I'm not sure Cena will win the Rumble, but I can see Rock/Cena 2.0 clearer than any other scenario involving Dwayne (vs. Brock, Punk, etc.) right now. The reason being that Cena doesn't have to win the Rumble to get himself a title shot.

Its time for a younger star to win the RR, with a guy like Barrett, Rhodes or even DBD getting the victory.

But the bottom line is that Cena will probably face Rock again, despite all the hype last year about "Once In A Lifetime". Lesnar can face 'Taker, Punk/Austin (fingers crossed) and then the usual plethora of other feuds.

This is pretty much what everyone has expected since the Raw after Wrestlemania.

Whether he wins the Rumble or is just named #1 contender another way remains to be seen.

The Rumble winner will probably go after the World Title and be buried beneath 32 other storylines as it has in recent years.

That was my initial thought when they made that announcement as well, and I then felt a lot better about Punk walking out still WWE champion last night.

If Cena goes over clean at WM29, and I think he should, I want it to be as a heel so badly

Chris Pronger 07-24-2012 03:58 PM

I don't see The Rock on every RAW from the Rumble to WM. He's very busy and he's not interested in working on a full time schedule

Duddy 07-24-2012 04:12 PM

Vince wins every title and trends on Twitter for 1000 days straight.

I can, whether it's by satellite or live. I'm pretty sure The Rock would be willing to appear live at least every two weeks to advance storylines and then appear live every week from Raw after Chamber - WrestleMania 29, like this year.

This. I think if he were to win the title he doesn't even need to appear live and in person every Monday in order to keep the hype train moving. If Rock isn't there on a given Monday, they can easily just use Cena to cut a promo and rip on the Rock. They did it many times last year and I thought it was entertaining as hell. Cena was great in those promos on the road to WM

AfroThunder396 07-25-2012 09:57 AM

Really doubt Cena wins the Rumble, there are only 3 multi-Rumble winners ever. I think Cena would object to it too since he's already over as hell and there is plenty of young talent that could use a shot in the arm.

The Rumble winner is either a guy on the cusp of being a legitimate Main Eventer (Daniel Bryan) or a legitimate Main Eventer that Vince wants to pad their resume (Chris Jericho, CM Punk).

Knowing Vince it'll probably be The Miz or AJ.
