So how many of us are now CBJ fans?

Simple enough, they now have Toots, Dubi, AA, and Jan Erixon's kid. What's not to like? When Dubi gets the C, I will buy his jersey. I really want to see them do well now, I hope I am not the only one.

:)

Blueshirt Believer 07-24-2012 07:46 PM

What? My loyalty is to the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

The only time that happens, is if its a guy who had significant career contributions with this team.

I don't feel that loyalty to either Dubi/Ani or Erixon. Nothing against them personally, and I wish them well. But they are pretty much irrelevant to me now.

Parker McDonald 07-24-2012 07:47 PM

Not me.. I don't give two ***** about CBJ, let alone a single ****.

They also have Prospal.

BringBackLibertys 07-24-2012 07:48 PM

I am saying as a secondary team. It's not like I am asking if people will no longer follow the NYR. I find this response surprising. Maybe I just like hockey too much, but if I like a player, I go out of my way to watch and root for them, even if they get traded away.

darko 07-24-2012 07:50 PM

Couldnt give a rats ass about Jackets.

I do like to see former Rangers do well.

dmjt4160 07-24-2012 07:50 PM

No doubt Ill be rooting for them to do well, I would say Id watch them when they are on TV here but uhh yea...

NYRFAN218 07-24-2012 07:51 PM

I may catch some games because of who they have and I hope the former Rangers do well there but I don't care about the Blue Jackets. Only team I root for is the Rangers. Don't really have a second team.

Giglio NYR15 07-24-2012 07:53 PM

Lets go dubi, artie, erixon, prospal and tyutin lol

Parker McDonald 07-24-2012 07:54 PM

The only other team I always like to see win is Detroit (unless they face us).

They aren't my "second favorite team".

and Vinny Prospal. I will go for them but they are going to stink. Their D has potential though

Ih8theislanders 07-24-2012 07:56 PM

May watch a few games because of them, I really hope our boys do well.

Totally forgot Vinny is still playing there. I know he has a front office job waiting, so he will be there for some time.

Florida Ranger 07-24-2012 08:01 PM

I root for the players' success, not the team's. I hope they do well.

OverTheCap 07-24-2012 08:07 PM

I wish the ex-Rangers the best. I'll probably tune in when Columbus plays the Devils and Islanders but other than that I doubt I'll follow them that closely.

Petemo 07-24-2012 08:18 PM

Intrigued to see how they perform, but having a "second" team is a joke.

Callagraves 07-24-2012 08:34 PM

They're now my team in the west.

Khris Creider 07-24-2012 08:37 PM

Not a fan but I'll be following Dubi, AA and Erixon.

Sports psychology baffles me sometimes. Nothing personal mate, but I doubt I'll ever understand.

Some people are hockey fans first. I see nothing wrong with cheering on multiple teams (other than your main team), it's more hockey you get to watch and be enthusiastic about. I will definitely be following CBJ now that a couple of my favorite ex-Rangers are there. I'd love to see them continue to have successful careers. Big fan of Jack Johnson too, he is a great competitor for USA Hockey and loves playing for his country.

Moosehead777 07-24-2012 08:41 PM

Im not gonna watch those boring Nashville games. LIVE from Honky tonk town. I do wish the players the best however. Its a sport not a war.

Kershaw 07-24-2012 08:42 PM

I wish them no success as a team.

BringBackLibertys 07-24-2012 08:49 PM

Some of your answers surprise me very much. I am a fan of Hockey, not just the NYR. As such, I watch hockey, not just the NYR games. If two other teams are on, I am watching. I love to see how other players are doing.

I cannot beleive people saying "having a second team is a joke". Huh? I have more then one other team I follow. I live in NC now, so guess what, I go to Canes games, always when the Rangers are in town, but other games too, and I root for the Canes when the Rangers aren't here. Now I will do the same for CBJ.

How can you know who else you want to trade for, if you only care about/watch the NYR?? Oh, I forgot, this is HF, where all that matters are the stats lines. I guess Marc Staal sucks, I mean look at those stats. Come on guys, you have to watch all the teams, and there is nothing wrong with wanting other teams to do well (as long as they are not the Flyers, Devils, or the Fishsticks).

OK, rant off....and thanks to the other guys backing me up about watching the Jackets when they can! :)

Nobody said YOU can't watch the CBJ. But I do not have a desire to do so, just because some ex Rangers are on the team. I watch plenty of hockey outside of the NYR's, doesn't mean I am a fan of those teams.

Agreed with everything here. Fan of the sport first.

I'll definitely be catching some Rangers East games now.

This. Although the Hawks are my "second" team or "west" team, cuz my Uncle lives in Chicago and is a huge Hawks fan and it rubs off on me. Really enjoy the Hawks.
