I thought Eager would be on that line!! ;)

I think Eager playing on a line with Carter will have potential. Carter is a player that makes people around him better, and Eager could definately use that. I'm not promising anything butit would be refreshing

Eager could be interesting on a line with Carter as I think he could create some decent pressure on the defense with his forechecking, but that's about it, besides basically camping in front of the net in search of rebounds/redirections/screens.

I'd rather have Carter play with a real playmaker. I'd like to see Eager on a line with Richards as they'd be a real ***** to play against.

Carters shot is either a goal or a decent rebound, which Eager would gobble up.
Eager with Richards would be a shut down line and a half if paird with a decent defenceman. I guess I would be in favor of the Richards Eager line as that would leave open the Carter Gagne option

IMO, Eager is going to fill the roll Kapanen has now.

It was a joke! IMO, Eager is as valuable as a broken hockey stick!

Eager's best hope at playing in the NHL is as fourth line banger, getting 10 minutes a night tops. He plays hard and physical, but doesnt play great defense for all his hitting, takes bad penalties, and I have yet to see him generate any offense whatsoever.

It's his rookie year, he hasn't got much ice time. He does take dumb penalties, but so does Primeau. I haven't seen any defensive problems at all with him. As far as his offense, it's hard to generate offense playing less than 10 minutes a night with Jeff Smith and Riley Cote. He can skate, he can hit, I think with decent linemates he can get 10-15 goals a year. He'll never be counted on for offense, just like Kapanen is. To me, I see him as being a third line uberpest (he draws as many penalties as he gets.)

Nice to see Captain Negatron adding his opinions in here as well.
