29 other NHL Clubs don't want him, why should Montreal after ditching him?

So we are to assume that because someone is still on the market that absolutely nobody wants him?

DJ Breadman 07-31-2012 03:19 PM

When I was in Montreal this winter to watch a game the door guy at my hotel told me you can go to this bar(sorry i forgot the name) and see Andrei K and pk subban almost any night.

Not assuming, Teams just aren't that BIG on the guy. It's a team sport. He'll get more cash in The KHL anyway.

Bolded IS an assumption... contradicting yourself much ? :sarcasm:

Sorry, but you need to be vetted by a mod to post insider info.

Player 61 07-31-2012 03:28 PM

HA! HA! Of course we can all use a laugh.

I just don't think bringing AK46 back this season is in the best interest of the team. I'd rather see them just play LeBlanc or even bring up Gallaghar at some point.

Gallaghar is the opposite of BIG. ;) But Heart counts as much!

Absolutey! A certain PK Subban is still on the market. It MUST mean the habs don't want him and are shopping him. :sarcasm:

I've never liked the idea of keeping spots for a rookie to take. I think a rookie should have to move out a roster player. Of course, there are times when that's not possible, but in terms of player development and asset management, I think it's the smarter route.

RaMMuT 07-31-2012 03:33 PM

I'm down for AK46!!!!

MAKE IT HAPPEN MARC!!!

habsprospects 07-31-2012 03:37 PM

Free Agency is dead, what's up with this thread.

overlords 07-31-2012 03:43 PM

Probably closing it down as soon as doan signs.

I don't mind the kids for less than 10 games, but I'd rather see them go win the Calder Cup as a tight team, developing chemistry.

Player 61 07-31-2012 04:09 PM

I usually prefer vets also, but 1 rookie up all year @ forward won't make or break a battle for 8th place. Gallaghar intrigues me a little.

What if Carolina didn't take a shot with Skinner?

Goldthorpe 07-31-2012 04:24 PM

At least we're not waiting for Doan like we were waiting for Sundin.

Remember the Sundin saga? Good times.

Brendan Shanahan, Daniel Briere, even Brett Hull back in the days, comes to mind too... yeah, frenzy, but it's pretty much over, fortunately.

That could take a while.

Yeah! those guys like Doan is a long-shot! But hey smoozing Montreal is never a terrible idea. They might have gotten Shannahan, we all secretly blame his wife. ;)

Sundin on the other hand was by far another League of BS and by far the worst! Glad he didn't sign. Damn Leaf hating Hab even after Gilmour suggested he sign with Montreal...

I wish Sundin had either signed here, or better yet, waived his NTC to come here in 2007-08. We might have won a cup.

It would also mean the Scott Gomez trade never happens.

Whitesnake 07-31-2012 05:15 PM

Only thing I see in this thread it's us discussing it....since when are we LEGIT SOURCES anyway...:D

I'm loving it. Sign Gomez to an extension and then cut him at training camp. :sarcasm:

I actually agree with this policy, let players and prospects earn their ice time.

I'm not a big fan of shutting down avenues of discussion during the dead season. If another mod sees fit to do so, that's fine.
