roszival,clark or colaiacovo
or
kubina,spacek,barker,jurcina,hannan,gilroy,eminger or campoli

and maybe a forwards:
kostitsyn,arnott,huselius,sykora,hecht or fehr

make your predictions

Well trade you Luongo for Datsyuk?

* I might have misread the title...

FAMOUSfin 08-05-2012 08:42 PM

Ballard and Raymond :sarcasm:

TOML 08-05-2012 08:43 PM

Time to put that 'superior drafting and player development' to good use.

But I could see Roszival being given a camp invite at the least.

Has some decent upside... Low risk/ some reward

I could see Gilroy flourishing in the Wings system.

Yeah I would smash that crystal ball of yours, it's defective

Oshie97 08-05-2012 09:56 PM

Forget wanting a forward, they need a top 4 d-man bad imo. I thought they would of made a trade for one by now but maybe the asking price is too much? It's not like there are any decent d-men available in FA, so that's not an option. Are they comfortable with their line up as is?

topshelf15 08-05-2012 09:58 PM

Detroit needs defense and forwards:laugh:Get in line everybody not named LA needs that

Wingsfan2965* 08-05-2012 10:03 PM

Don't need forwards, don't want forwards.

You better be buying me a hell of a lot of liquor in order to get me hammered enough to make that trade.

Either or,detroit will go back to the draft for the first time in decades with some purpose next season. There run at the top while impressive wasnt going to last for ever .Time to look at a rebuild/retool,there are just too many holes that need filling and not enough players to go around at ufa time to fill them

They're in need of a top line defender.

Other than that, the "Holes" you seem to think exist aren't there. The top six will likely be better this year than it was last year. And hopefully Gustafsson wont suck as bad as Conklin did, that way we don't have to play Howard until he's dead again.

Gonchar significantly outscored Helm. Understandable you feel that way just pointing out Helm isn't some kind of god

They will be competitive ,but the elite years are going to take a while sorry. You have teams like LA,STL that are far deeper and younger than your team as it seems for the foreseeable future

For his role he's one of the best. 25 year old vs. 38 year old, easy to see which is going to trend which way. One's under a good contract, the other, not so much.

Not that hard of a decision.

Give it 2-3 years. Detroit's forward group will be as deep as it's been since 2003.

topshelf15 08-05-2012 10:21 PM

Detroit needs a number 1 defender but dont have enough tradable assets to get one ,so i suggest they will look to draft one and fill holes through FA,by the time said drafted number1 defender is ready zetterberg and datsuk will be in the near twilight of their careers .Time for a rebuild detroit:nod:

Deep how i dont see any thing that special there, add to that you,re two best in zetterberg and datsuk will be two to three years older

Plenty of assets to give up, just no defenders on the market worth giving it for.

Lay off the Jack Daniels when you're posting, please.

If you seem to think you have this deep pool of prospects that will lead you to the top ,iam not the one that should lay off the bottle:nod:
