Voted for Noreau because he did improved a good deal since he was drafted. Has a decent shot at becoming a third-pairing blueliner, and if he really works on skating and positioning, Noreau could be even more than that potentially.

Add Jason Missiaen. He's very young for a goalie and had a solid year. Let's see how he does in the AHL next season.

McColgan

Add Stajcer

Noreau, add Talbot.

Each of the 3 goalie prospects got a single vote to be added to the poll.

FWIW Hrivik should really be the first player in the Third Tier.

Bird Law 08-05-2012 11:38 PM

Noreau. Add Stajcer.

McColgan here for me. I think he'll be in a better situation in Saskatoon this year than he was in Kelowna last season, and should be one of the leading scorers for the Blades. Size an issue but he plays bigger than he is.

Add Talbot

Interesting stats on our top 12 prospects

6 Americans
3 Swedes
3 Canadians

Hrivik at number 13 is a Slovak
We also recently traded away a Swedish top tier prospect in Erixon
No Russians, Czechs, Finns or anything else

mcColgan. Add Stajcer.

Kershaw 08-06-2012 12:53 PM

Andersson.

McColgan is a midget that wasn't even PPG in WHL.

jw2 08-06-2012 01:10 PM

Can't see anyone on this list other than Andersson every playing in the NHL for more than a couple games.
Add Pashnin.

Joey Bones 08-06-2012 04:07 PM

Bourque, Add Kolarik.

Noreau.

McColgan is the most naturally talented player left on the list, but he and Noreau are players who have responded in completely different ways since being drafted.

Noreau is a guy with a limited skill set who just keeps working hard and getting better.

McColgan is a guy who keeps falling and falling. Seriously, 18 goals in the WHL as a 19-year old. You just can't ignore that.

I agree with Jon, Hrivak is really the start of the third tier.
