With Peters in Raleigh for the first half of the season, Muse will be the #1 in Charlotte, right?

Did anybody see enough of him last season to know if those numbers are legit? They are very impressive for a guy who was just lurking around the free agent pool.

John Muse is Legit.

I was there for every home game he started, the kid can flat out play goal.

His 2 shut outs in the AHL came by him being a brick wall.

He made some great saves, the games lost while he was in goal was not his fault.

Reminds me of Quick.

Muse has backstopped the Florida Everblades to 3 of the last 5 ECHL championships, IIRC. Or maybe just Muse has won 3 of 5. Something like that. I think he's pretty legit. He put up far better numbers than Murphy/Peters and looked good whenever I was able to catch a game. Not sure he'll be anything more than a decent minor leaguer though.

Yeah there you go. Dude knows how to win, and that's never a bad thing in a goaltender. Hopefully he can provide some stability for Charlotte and help them return to the playoffs.

All I know about this guy is that he flat out wins at every level. Of course the same could have been said for Murphy but the Canes backup situation is so hopeless that he managed to lose a game without giving up any goals.

Saw his band play at the RBC last year. Very entertaining.

Even if he doesn't have NHL potential, I am more than fine with Charlotte having a top-flight goalie on the Hurricanes' dime.
