don't you guys think......

no major headlines, no speculations, no serious trade rumours

Is it just me?

I'm pretty excited....

first game's this evening, and the third game's on Sunday. I'm looking forward to see if Tutin turns things around; if Moore and Stals continue to impress; if Lundmark remains on Holik's right.

Preseason started last night with some interesting stories. Funny, I was so excited reading the recaps this morning, you'd think it was the first day of the playoffs.

Of note, John Tripp has a goal and an assist in LA's win over ANA. Go John! :handclap:

Let's try this one more time. Does anyone know what Scott's status is as far as the waiver draft is concerned?

Brooklyn Ranger 09-19-2003 10:07 AM

Pretty sure he's eligible for the waiver draft. He started playing professional hockey in 1999 (four seasons ago). I doubt it will be a real problem leaving him unprotected though. He's had significant injuries and didn't play regularly last season. He'd have to knock out a bunch of people with one punch during pre-season to be noticed.

Anyway, it's very possible that Petrovicky will be left unprotected and he should garner more interest from other clubs.

Thanks, Brooklyn

I thought that might be the case and I agree with you.

I'm also hoping that we don't waste a protected slot on Bure. Haven't heard any recent talk of that lately.
