That's correct.

Sorry for not explaining this to yall.

leesmith 08-13-2012 02:01 PM

Voted Zaar, and that's okay Samkow because there is nobody else I wanted to add anyway. :)

I still think we should continue to do adds regardless, because nobody ever anticipates that and folks tend not to plan accordingly, and everybody's top 20s are different. ("What do you mean I can't have Anderson in my top 20?!?!?!" and so forth ;) )

Besides, I like seeing "honorable mentions". :)

(That said, all I had left to add for my top 20 was Madaisky at #20. Everyone else added would be for HM purposes.)

EDIT: If you don't want to go to the trouble of doing extra polls, I'll happily do 'em. :D

He destroys anything left on this list, with the possible exception of Weber, should have been added a while ago. York? Seriously? lol

And yet, somehow, I manage to be more interested in this list than one done by any invidiaul poster. As if that would somehow make it more accurate.

Xoggz22 08-13-2012 04:48 PM

Zaar, Add Anderson.

I would like to see continued additions as my view on the all important bottm 5 players may be different than what we already list in the poll.

Can we see some threads put together by all of the mods then. I think that will be more interesting, and maybe more accurate :sarcasm:

Pretty sure that runs counter to my point. Don't care that the collective list doesn't match up with someone's personal ranking. At least not for this particular exercise.

Madaisky can't shoot to save his life. Nowhere near NHL caliber.

Enh. I like York. I dunno if he'll ever be anything beyond an NHL backup, but I like him. That said, my taste in goaltenders is... different. :)

Is he expected to shoot, though? There exist defensemen that, y'know, don't lean on that as a primary skill. :)

No, but he does need it as A skill to succeed at the NHL level.

If he's got a good first pass, sound in his own zone, and speed, he has a chance. Having a shot is great for a Dman, but its not a must have quality. Look at Marc Methot.

Was going to post exactly this. Methot and Hejda are two great examples.

I can only speak to what I saw of him the few times I saw him and your assertion was not what came to mind. But to be honest, I was watching many thing when watching him. His shot didn't seem to be a detriment. If he can get the puck through on occasion, the rest of his game sure seems pretty darn good for a 13-15 prospect.

Your hyperbole is fairly amusing since he managed 13 goals this season. Very respectable total.

Oh it's far more interesting. You can see that in some of the voting patterns.
