I really hope Mash gets back on track. I saw him as Clowe 2.0 in terms of his development but he took a step back last season. Hoping for progress next season. I guess so does the management by giving him a 1 yr deal.

Nighthock 08-15-2012 01:25 AM

still waiting for real news ...

sharski 08-15-2012 02:00 AM

Why are we always worried about speed here? Can't he just be average? Will there be some point where everyone is fast so that means being fast is average and then we'll complain about everyone being faster than our fast guys? Why isn't average good enough anymore?

Speed benefits teams but it doesn't change everything. It's not the end-all, be-all.

No idea, just had to rant a little.

RussianShark 08-15-2012 10:47 AM

He's slow and has really choppy skating. I'm happy to keep him though, could turn into a decent power forward and isn't afraid to drop the gloves.

VP and GM 08-15-2012 12:46 PM

Hope he can get back on track this year, it he doesn't may be time to let him go next summer. I've also seen him as a Clowe 2.0 kind of player, hope he can make it and get some foot speed for a big man.

SactoShork 08-15-2012 01:02 PM

He's more of a Frazer McLaren 2.0

After watching the Sharks get pushed around last year, Im happy the Sharks resigned him. The Sharks need some more toughness IMO (and someone to protect Juicy...)

Hopefully hes good enough to get a spot on the 3/4th line.

No. But he isn't exceptionally slow.

I'm not sure I agree with the general statement that the Sharks got pushed around last year, but if they did it is because they were terrified to take a penalty, not because they lack toughness.

atleast half of the sharks top 6 has toughness or can atleast show it once in a while.

just i think people misinterpret what toughness actually is. for some toughness means fighting every game. for others it is taking the abuse to make a play.

out of the top 6 i would say that thornton has the most toughness, followed by clowe, then marleau, pavs, havlat, couture (he will take the abuse to make the play, but it always ends up being bad bad bad for him lol)

Sharks at 44 NHL contracts.

LeeIFBB 08-16-2012 07:02 AM

Sheppard is so worthless.

Mafoofoo 08-16-2012 07:40 AM
