Traverse City Canceled
 

not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but the TC tournament was canceled.

Really? I enjoyed watching last year

Unfortunate though, fun for the fans, and for the kids I am sure. Makes you realize how much other little stuff is affected by this political and economical ********.

i'm actually going to be in detroit right around the time traverse city would be starting and if i didn't have a wedding back in new york to go to i would try and stay out the extra few days so i could catch the whole thing. this is a bummer. traverse city is great.

That really sucks, IMO it's gonna hurt the Rangers in the long run.

Last year it ended before 9/15 so why couldn't they do that again this year? Makes no sense to not have that prospect development going on.

How is some silly tournament being canceled going to hurt the Rangers? It's not like every organization doesn't have their prospects/up-and-comers play with and against each other. Don't get me wrong, I love watching TC to check out all the other kids I otherwise wouldn't get a chance to/go out of my way to see, but it's a little over-the-top to say that this tournament is going to be what hurts this team.

And to answer the second part, $$$.
