Mangene was signed as an undrafted free agent this year out of the University of Maine. He bounced between forward and defense in his college career, but finally broke out offensively this year, his junior year. He's got good speed, a hard forechecker and battler, and a good two-way player when playing forward. Think Darroll Powe with a little more offensive upside.

Mangene is from my hometown in long island new york. No professional athletes came out of manorville and hockey isnt particularly big around here. His home is about 5 minutes from my house. It is so sick to see a kid from my town to make the nhl let alone play for flyers!! Hopefully he makes it one day

Mangene. For the 6th time. Looks like this time he will get it though

I went with Suellentrop. He never will be a flashy type player. But in reading about him it looks like he may be one of the best shut down defensemen in the OHL this year. So you know what you are getting right off the bat. Anything else is a plus. You need men like this on your team who are steady and do not crack under pressure. Also it is said he is a good character guy and stand up teammate.
