TB Lightning Wallpaper Thread 2012-2013
 

Hi there,

just searched around the forum and .. correct me but, is it possible that we don't have a wallpaper thread for the new year?

I wish that I could do anything with photoshop to create my own ones (as I would enough time to do it, but do not have any experiance and skills).

So, does anyone from you have made already new wallpapers from players?
I, personally, like "neutral" team wallpaper much more than player wallpaper, so I'd be really appreciated if you guys which more skill then me could post some.

When I search google for pictures of any NHL team, there are many really cool ones, but it seems that nearly only Tampa has just "boring" ones :-(
So - any creative guys here :)?

Yes I've already found that on G-picture search.. is included in my desktop wallpaper-queue .. changes every 30 minutes :D

Looks cool too, I really would like to know how this guy has made the NYR one above.
Have seen this wallpaper for some teams, including STL,too.

Wallpapers would be great in 1680 x 1050 (or even better res.) as they would be unsharp otherwise :D

Backgrounds with some structure and a "normal" logo or alternative logo would be great, too

Gimp is a free photoshop ripoff. Download it.

So... I just created my first two ones.

Please note that this are my very very first steps with GIMP... :D
But! Includes 20th anniversary logo ;-)

Gimp was a bit too complex for a beginner like me, so I tried a free program called Paint.net which I found easier to use.

I have tried paint.net too but there are not enough possibilities to create a picture. Try some tutorials of gimp and you will see its quite easy

I still have Gimp, in case I find something I am unable to do. Paint.net is more intuitive for me, but to each his own.

It's still not easy to do that what I really want with gimp/Photoshop, but I will try and try and try and...try :sarcasm:

The main blocking effect in the OP is the "extrude" effect in Photoshop.
