Jordan Eberle vs Patrick Kane

Who would you rather have on your team?

Henrik To Daniel 08-29-2012 01:16 AM

is this a joke? patrick kane is a proven commodity and a franchise winger. he is a guy you can build your team around.

eberle has not shown that he is better than kane. he is a complimentary player. one good year, great, but let's see him do it for another 3-4 years and then maybe he can be mentioned in the same breath as kane.

No he is not. If you build your team around Kane you're screwed IMO.

Chicago is build around few players. Toews and Keith are much more important to the team.

If Kane can rebound (which i think he will) he is better than Eberle right now but not by much. In fact, i'd take Eberle if i had to choose.

Oilers fan saying Kane.

Eberle: Currently the better player, has improved significantly every year since being drafted.

Kane: Hasn't really improved all that much since being drafted, looks like he might have plateaued.

I'd chose Eberle, does more with less and is 2 years younger.

Kane is a franchise player, and a guy you would want to build a team around?

Shirley, you must be joking. :shakehead

The question in the original post is "Who would you rather have on your team?". You guys would seriously rather have Kane on the Oilers than Eberle?

Eberle was a better player last year, is younger, grew up an Oilers fan, is great friends with Hall and doesn't beat up cab drivers and go on drunken rampages in his spare time.

I wouldn't even think about swapping Eberle for Kane.

LiquidSnake 08-29-2012 02:51 AM

Kane. AINEC. Eberle is getting ridiculously overrated here.

Eberle: 76 points in his 2nd year
Kane: 66 points in his 5th year

Eberle played less games too.

PierreMcGuire* 08-29-2012 03:27 AM

Patrick Kane he's the better play, though I do prefer Eberle.

Kane has a stanley Cup and is a first team all star. Also has a career high of 88 points.

I believe Eberle had a career year. I dont see him hitting 76 next year. Closer to 60.

Everyone has bad seasons, more or less. I think for last year most would have picked Eberle.

I think Kane has better ppg, though?

McTankel 08-29-2012 03:39 AM

Eberle. Kane has the baggage that I simply do not want any part of.

This, since the question is who would you rather have and not who is the better player, Im going with Eberle.

Though Kane does have the better skill set for sure.

umad 08-29-2012 05:20 AM

Kane is the better player, but I would not like to have him on my team.

You are out of your mind. Its possible he wont repeat the same point totals next year but he definitely has all the tools to be a consistent +PPG player.

The Newfoundlander 08-29-2012 06:18 AM

Kane AINEC.

Villager 08-29-2012 06:57 AM

Eberle was better this year but Id still take Kane pretty easily

Though Jaskowski beats them all

Kane: 72 points in rookie season. Calder winner.
Eberle: 43 points in rookie season. Weird looking.

Kane, career high: 88 points. Stanley Cup.
Eberle, career high: 76 points. Draft lottery.

Vankiller Whale 08-29-2012 07:09 AM

I'd rather have Eberle. The difference in skill between them doesn't merit having a jerk on the team.

thadd 08-29-2012 07:22 AM

That's right. Go ahead an underrate Eberle.

When he scores over 90 points next season, remember me.

UsernameWasTaken 08-29-2012 07:24 AM

kane easily.

...and i can't believe this poll is even close.

PeterForsberg 08-29-2012 07:27 AM

Eberle. Does more with less IMO.
