Oi, got rid of them.

Would like Fener, Levante, and Rapid Vienna. Few difficult games and a chance to see a young American in Boyd play against good opposition, see what he's about.

vsk92 08-30-2012 04:57 PM

A few Finns playing in this year's tournament I will mainly be cheering fro Mochengladbach, Rubin Kazan & Leverkusen to do well :handclap:

njdevsfn95 08-30-2012 05:25 PM

Crap Pot 3

joe89 08-30-2012 05:41 PM

I hope AIK draws a couple of top teams so I can make the trip to a game or two. Hopefully(?) at the new arena.

Shrimper 08-30-2012 05:47 PM

Easiest group for Liverpool:
Liverpool
Hapoel-Tel Aviv
Young Boys
Videoton

Worst group for Liverpool:
Liverpool
Napoli
Borussia Monchengladbach
Anzhi Makhachkala

Live in the Now 08-30-2012 05:49 PM

Don't want Napoli because of what happened last time but don't care about the other two. I like hard matches. We'd go out in that first group too, I just know it.

I think Anzhi would be a team to worry about because of Boussoufa and Eto'o. They've got a strong squad elsewhere as well and could challenge.

mightyquack 08-31-2012 06:44 AM

Udinese, Young Boys and Anzhi. Ugh.

Shrimper 08-31-2012 06:46 AM

Tough group for Liverpool.

Savi 08-31-2012 06:48 AM

Brugge - Newcastle, Bordeaux, Maritimo
Genk - Sporting Club, Basel, Videoton

Tough draw but I think both Brugge and Genk could challenge for 2nd in their group.

Shameus 08-31-2012 06:56 AM

Love this group for Newcastle. Travel won't be too bad and I think they have a very good chance of getting to the knockout rounds.

Gotta say that Liverpool and Spurs both handed tough groups. Inter has some long trips in their weekday quests.

Chimaera 08-31-2012 06:59 AM

Rough group. Probably will be 2nd or 3rd (if that). Oh well.

Yeah man, seems like a decent group for Newcastle.

It obviously depends on which players Pardew will play in these games. The first team would walk through the group but it seems more likely that reserves will play a lot so it might not be so easy.

njdevsfn95 08-31-2012 07:34 AM

If other Newcastle fans are happy, I will be happy. The travel doesnt seem to be all that bad which can only be a good thing.

Live in the Now 08-31-2012 09:27 AM

I'm looking forward to all those games for Liverpool. A group that would have been supposedly easy, would have turned out to be much more difficult in reality.

Tanner Glass 08-31-2012 10:04 AM

Stuttgart got a fairly nice draw

I like the draw for all the german clubs.

HajdukSplit 08-31-2012 10:41 AM

Monchengladbach got a pretty tough group, but they were lower seeds

the only big team who can complain about travel is Inter Milan really

A,C,F,J,L look the most interesting to me while teams like Atletico Madrid, Stuttgart, Sporting got a kind draw

It's certainly not the easiest draw, but as you said, they were a low seed, and it's a manageable draw. All 3 will be tough teams, but Gladbach is the most talented team in the group and should advance.

I know we have at least one non-Liverpool fan following Yesil so I'll drop this in here...

Quote:

The 18-year-old, signed from Bayer Leverkusen for ú1m in the final week of the transfer window, will be promoted to the first-team squad in Berne as Rodgers attempts to eke out his slender resources ahead of the Premier League meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.

Yesil made his first appearance for Liverpool on Saturday in the Under-21s' 4-1 win over Chelsea and could be joined by Suso, an 18-year-old Spanish forward, in what is likely to be a youthful Liverpool side for the opening game in Group A.

The Liverpool manager confirmed: "Samed will certainly be fast-tracked. He will be involved in the Europa League game. I watched him play [for Germany] against England Under-19s the other week when he scored two terrific goals and set up another."

Young boys to play against Young Boys :sarcasm:

cgf 09-17-2012 04:52 PM

Now all he needs to do is forgetting he's wearing the liverpool shirt and start scoring goals left and right again.
